Is it worth it? I hate spending extra money on in game content. And i have been doing just fine without any extra gear. Started militia, and worked up to proto. Sure, the unlimited gear would be great, but do you think it is really worth it? I want to honestly know, not to start a war. Opinions? |

There's a thread about why it's worth it to buy multiple copies of it. So yes, it's worth it. |

I felt the same as you, but I am enjoying the pack. I love the Dragonfly and Toxin SMG. Use of these saves me some isk. If you use a type 1 scout, the Dragonfly has the same stats.
Also, the skill booster is really, really nice. The other part is that you get 40k Aurum, and the UVT costs 10 Aurum so you can buy them indefinately, if you don't choose to spend the Aurum on other items.
In the end, yes I think it is worth it, but you have to judge how much you play. If you don't play often, it may not be worth it. I plan to buy the new one this weekend with the new BPO suits, primarily because I want the 30 day booster again. It will also let me try some of the Aurum gear not be worried when I lose them :) |

If they ever come out with one that has a specialty pilot suit or dropship I'll be all up on. Otherwise it doesn't seem like it'd really benefit me much. |

I suggest you wait until the game is out, they keep offering better deals all the time and you can make your mind once the game is released. There's no point in having an edge if the game sucks in the end... |

If you are doing fine, I wouldn't really worry. No rush. Character reset is looming. TQ might burn when we all get there. Anything could happen. I look forward to the BPO drop ship :D |

I might buy the merc pack so that I can have 40,000 aurum strictly for the universal voice transmitter and the booster so that I can train up to be a better sniper. I don't intend to buy any of the aurum items on the market unless their value in ISK goes up on the player-driven market. |

The aurum doesn't hurt; as far as items go, remember how the mercenary pack is described- it's everything you need to start out with CQC |

It's a decent deal and both the Dragonfly and whatever new "merc suit" offer you choose will be in your arsenal through each build and game launch. That should give you a nice little advantage out of the gate and be a great "fallback" should you want to save ISK for a huge purchase down the road, rather than restock suits.

I think you guys have convinced me to do it, and I just bought it a few weeks ago. I don't mind supporting the project a little more too. Those poor devs need to eat! |

I play mostly in scout suits, and usually with an SMG. If you can say the same, then yeah, it's probably worth it. If not, then maybe not.
I bought it when it was $10 and was pretty happy with the value, but I'm not sure I would pay $20 for it. |

milita gear is going to become BPC (i.e. limited use, spend ISK to get more) so yes I'd say it's worth it hands down, just make sure you do it during this promo so you're not limited to only a scout suit. |

You get all the suits. Dragon Fly and the MAG scout suit, along with the MAG Assault and Logistics. All the MAG suits are equal to a Type 1 (better than militia, and BPO).
I bought one for each of my three toon slots, and will be getting more for selling off about a year after release. |
