Of all the things to raise as an issue, this is possibly one of the least important, I realise...
Anyone else feel that there are far too many loading screens in this game?
- Two loading screens about the Move controller/camera (I don't own one)
- One epilepsy warning
- One "powered by Unreal"
- "You are about to connect to CCP servers" and the popups that follow
- CCP logo and character selection
- Controller layout screen while loading into Captain's^H Merc quarters
- "Please wait" when launching instant battle
- The "initializing battle" screen - though at least, in this one, you can interact with chat
- Back to the controller layout screen while either the ready-room or deploy loads
It feels like I have to spam X a lot just to get into the game itself. Now, I'm not a big console gamer so I don't know what is normal (or what Sony forces you to put at the start of your game), but isn't this a bit much?
I guess this is amplified by the fact that I've had to restart the game so often (as expected in beta).
What do other people think? |

I can live with all of them, except the Move tutorial. I don't have one, I won't ever get one (because it's gimmicky like 3D TV and doesn't add anything) and I am sick of having to watch it every time I start the game...this should really be shown only if a Move Controller is connected to the system... |

Hallelujah, I thought it was just me, I'm not too worried about in game screens, but epilepsy warnings and move warning, what's next " Please be advised that going for a smoke whilst waiting for these annoying warnings to **** off might harm your health".
This drives me crazy at least we should be able to opt out on an account by account basis for at least 10 times if not permanently. Even if I had a move or epilepsy I'm sure I wouldn't need reminding that often, after all if I can earn enough to buy a ps3, games and broadband I should have the mental capacity to be responsible for my own actions. Sorry rant over |

when ever i have to relog i start up the game and then change the source on my tv to go back to my computer to do something else, while it loads, all the time spamming x and start to get through all the loading screens |

I have acquired the skill of starting the game, choosing the right character and starting an instant battle while sitting on the toilet three rooms away... :D |

With the health warnings that's law they have their restrictions... The Move crap yea that kind of annoying I agree with that..
But still it's a beta and I'm sure there will be a couple changes till final release.. |

Pretty much every Move-enabled game has those screens at start up. Not much that can be done about them. The epilepsy warning also has to pretty much be there so, no point in grousing about them. |

I understand the legal bit and my comments were tonge in cheek but on a legal point I would gladly e-sign a waiver which should assuage any concerns legally in the same way we do accepting the terms of use with each ps3 update.
I know there's no point griping here I was just glad to see its not just me, but worth raising somewhere because it is getting silly, I seem to be spending more time being warned than getting shot which for me is remarkable. |
