Seriously how do you people play at 1 frame per second? I got my a** handed to me on this map because my frame rate dropped below 5. I respect anyone who can snipe me while I'm sprinting at 5 FPS, that takes some mad skill. God knows I couldnt do it. Holy christ. |

There is a one letter map..? If the FPS is that bad, the only people that could play are those using SSD's, as that seems to buff up the framerate a lot.
Edit: It's 5am, I shouldn't be posting lmao. I see you are talking about a 5 letter map, not one letter. I've played on that map several times, never had any major issues like that. |

i got a SSD and it really does help but there is still the all of a sudden hard lock up that happends randomly on the 5 letters map. And a SSD cant even prevent that. But if i dont get a hard lock up its quite playable. I think other players have the same issue in terms of hard lock ups. It happends on both maps the one with biomass and with communication's. |

Its random.
Probably 50% of games on that map are unplayable messes. The rest are fine.
Roll the dice and take your chances.
Mind you the time I called in a expensive tank just as the system decided to start stuttering was hilarious. I froze, tank dropped in, got into tank, automatically got out of tank. Got back in tank and tried to move, nothing happened and then was kicked out of tank again. Tank drove off without me (no driver) and drove to the other side of the map, literally, and parked in side of a building. I chased tank and was trying to get back in when the game ended. Stats told me I had been killed again. As I said, hilarious  |

The framerate issue is a major concern for me. It has (at times) made me want to throw me PS3 out the window!
I don't mind getting nuked by someone because the got the best of me. However, it frustrates the hell out of me if I'm killed because I'm trying to fight via screenshots of the game.
I guess this highlights the fact that the PS3 is a dinosaur in terms of technology. You shouldn't have to upgrade to an SSD just to have a playable game.
Having said that, I hope that CCP have got the problem sorted in the next build. If they don't, then although I would be a little disappointed, I could hardly blame them. Trying to make a groundbreaking game (of such a scale) on technology that is essentially 6 years old is a big ask.
I think I'm going to have to invest in a SSD, as I would rather payout the -ú100-odd for an SSD, then bail on Dust. |
