I would like to see different types of ammo introduced to the game IE: incendiary- weak against shields weak on armor, sets vehicles and mercs on fire possibly/does fire damage armor piercing- strong against armor weaker on shields explosive- strong on mercs ultra weak against vehicles
also I would implement them as blue prints to save us the hassle of buying individual bullets. but make them gun specific. so breach wouldn't be the same as regular AR and charge sniper would be different from assault sniper ect. |

I like this idea very much because it will add another level of tactics, and allow for even more customization and specialization of classes. the only thing is i wouldn't want them to restricted for certain weapons, instead they should be added to skills list, like to make the bullets more accurate , or cause more damage on impact. The player should also have to buy the ammo from the marketplace, they shouldn't be really expensive as you would have to buy in large bulks. |

I thought about that but (to me) it seems a little ridicules that you could just buy AP rounds and they magically fit any gun. but I agree that there should be skilling involved in getting them. I much prefer the idea that one could buy the blueprint for "breach assault rifles AP" and they would fit any breach assault rifle also as it currently stands we don't pay for ammunition (which I like) so it would make sense that we wouldn't have to start buying individual rounds simply buy switching ammo types. |

EVE already has this system to a degree. Projectile, Lazer, Hybrid (blasters/railguns), and Launcher (missile/rockets). Each have various ammo types and the ammo comes in several sizes (Small, Medum, and Large) and are only specific to racial weapons of similar types. This is more of what I would like to see in Dust and more likely the route that CCP would take |
