Wont it be fun if we had a stealth loadout! I mean not something that makes you go invisible but something that does not leave a signature. Something like a silenced weapon or throwing knifes. It would be great for those that like to run around in scout suits! If the Chakram can do it why can we have a dropsuit or a dropduit loadout that does this?
I would love to have a loadout where the enemy always needs to figure out where I am coming from.

Screw that, I want active cloaking on an HMG heavy. Just chill out and wait for some enemies to walk by.

Thoughts? In the future there will be sensor dampeners that hide your signature as well as other modules that make others easier to detect and cloaking |

Active cloaking just screams out for the up-close and personal touch. The pistol shot to the side of the head, the knife thrust to the back of the neck just below the helmet rim or the shotgun to the chest so that you can see the life drain from your foe. |

Avenger 245 wrote:A limited cloak, silencers, dampeners, smoke nades, tacnet jammers, etc please The cloak and the dampeners are confirmed, and CCP said in the weekly feedback thread that weapon customization will eventually come to the game (post-launch) so I'd assume there'd be some kind of silencers. The smoke nades are called Miasma grenades apparently, and I don't know about TACNET jammers.
I just want cloaking so badly....next build CCP? |

I'm all for cloaking if they handle it eve style
Can't aim while cloaked
Movement penalty of 90%
Delay in targeting (in this case aiming) |

Delay in targeting (in this case aiming) I think that cloaking for huge gigantic spaceships and combat suits shouldn't be the same. I think that when cloaked, you can move while crouched and aim and fire your weapon, but firing a weapon breaks the cloak. |

As a scout I can tell you that when knifing peeps in the back they dont see you. That or they cant be bothered to turn around.
I would love a silenced SMG even if it did 20-40% less dps. |

I hope Im pointing out the obvious to everyone here...
It seems to me that for the most part that Dust is using EVE's skill set, modules, load out designs and economy as scaffolding so one could assume that if you ever wanted to know what is going to be in dust look to EVE online. The REAL question should be not how and if, but when.... And we all know the answer to that.... _____Gäó. |

If the cloaks work like they do in Eve, there will be a delay between decloaking and being able to shoot. Sorry to rain on the stealth parade. |

Cloak shoud be limited in movement as in the bigger suits have to move at a crawl and the smaller suits would be able to.move at half speed with out breacking the clock and.no firing or aiming your weapon while cloaked, along with a cool down I should be balanced. |

Please no invisibilty perks or Harry Potter cloaks. If one person abuses it, then everyone will be invisible on the field just to keep up with the status quo

I don't have an issue with cloaking at all, but it needs to be weak as hell and very squishy.
In planetside they had a Infiltrator class that was basically a scout with cloak on. It worked fine imo. Just make them very close range killers and limit their cloaking ability with a timer or re-use bar or something. However do not follow the Planetside 2 version and allow them a sniper rifle, that is just beyond stupid if you ask me.
On a side note, the Chakram isn't any stealthier than any other tank at this point. I've had people tell me it is, but when I've tested it against how other tanks show, it doesn't make that much difference at all tbh. |

In EvE only certain ships could use covert ops cloak. Some of them were actually faster cloaked then uncloaked. They were support ships not really front line combat.
The cloak everyone could use had horrible penalties. 1/10 speed while cloaked(and no active speed modules), 30 second delay to fire weapons after decloak, sensors weakened even when uncloaked.
So if it makes merc go 1/10th speed and no sprint , have no reticule for hipfire and no ads for 30sec, and a reduced minimap, everyone would want it. It also used same slots as weapons in eve, so they may only have a sidearm. The EvE version decloaked when approaching a enemy(or anything for that matter) at longer distance then short range weapons could fire. So it may stop working at 10-15m of enemy.
The vehicle delivery drones already cloak, could indicate how long cloaking/uncloaking will take. A recon dropship and blackops hav are suppose to cloak. The black ops may not get the good cloak, black ops battleship in eve only reduced targeting delay of regular cloak.
Scout suit says optic camo, so we may have different types of invisibility.
CCP did great with cloak balance in eve, everyone can use them but few do. A special piece of gear only used for certain tasks.
Probably will need the most testing of any item in game though to get balance right. Maybe have speacial events were people are given permanent item to test, them remove item after test? Test different version every few days to see what worksand what doesn't?
