i like forge guns even though i am level 1 forger but i wanna know is the mass driver worth anything and i cant hit likity split with swarmers /i have killed a tank or two that didnt move .and b4 you bash on me saying mass drivers grenade launchers for infantry,i know this./so tell me your preference on each and why you like them and if you have all 3,tell me why you have all 3 |

Unless the mass drivers got fixed in the last few days, they are not worth investing in yet, as they only work about 25% of the time.
They are pretty nice when the shells actually explode, but probably should wait for the next build. As for forge vs swarms, well I haven't had much luck with the swarms, but the forge gives instant gratification (especially against dropships). |

I love forge guns, but they're in this awkward position of being too good with increased range, and being garbage without it. They need to introduce some kind of damage falloff mechanism for the forge gun, so that way they aren't just gigantic anti armor sniper rifles like they are right now.
Speaking of sniper rifles, killing infantry at long range with a forge gun just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside |

I never tried forge guns, but mass drivers work well with my scout. They hold 3x the ammo of swarm launchers, while still being light weapons. They're also the only weapon I know of that work well against infantry, and still are decent when you run into a vehicle. |

I believe whether or not they explode depends on how they impact whatever they happen to hit. If they hit something at a sharp angle, boom boom; if they hit the ground at a low angle, no boom. |

yea mass driver is unreliable, it occasionally kills a scout or steals a kill.. it could be worth a crap if ccp ever fixes it |

Since the hot fix? Forge guns for sure! I'm not gonna lie, its basically a n00b sniper rifle but man if your teaming with a logi and got those nano hives.. look out cause it hard to uproot you.. plus seeing body's cartwheel because of your awesome forge gun is filled to the brim with win! |

I'll go with this for now. When flying dropships, it isn't swarms or mass drivers that worry me, it's forge guns.
It's also all subject to "balancing", so who knows what will work best in a month?

I think forge guns should do less damage up close and more damage the more range before the shot hits. |

This, but with a script to adjust the splash based on distance w/ a minimum & maximum splash size. Starts big & sloppy, gets small & clean. |

Ya know that I am really, really bad at FPS right?? Well the game starts and I just want to Logi-Bro repping and healing and then some sniper gets in my business and I am dead!!
Then I say ok, ok lets snipe! So I bring out my forge gun and pow!! long range kill on snipers makes me get hate mail. The best is makeing a dropships occupants bail and then forge gun snipe them as they are inertia dampening/falling.
Now if only I can manage to reliably snipe from one side of the map to the other with a scambler pistol on those snipers. I wonder if I manage to do that if I will get hate mail??

Yeah I kinda regret put sny SP into mass drivers.
I would say that 25% is being generous, I have had times where I have loaded 2 clips onto someone and there has been 0% damage.
After 3 games, I deleted the fit with no regrets... |
