You want it - I found it.
Here is a screenshot which shows a typical AV Heavy fit - but what's this at the top? Is that a specialization subsystem?
http://www.4gamer.net/games/096/G009681/20120924047/SS/005.jpg
A typical assault suit with a specialization subsystem but...
Wait.. Does it look sleeker and sexier? Why yes it does.
http://www.4gamer.net/games/096/G009681/20120924047/SS/006.jpg http://www.4gamer.net/games/096/G009681/20120924047/SS/008.jpg
Enjoy, boys - I'd imagine this thread isn't going to last long what with posting images =P
EDIT: Found a video that shows an all new and improved lighting/shaders system. That or they worked some space magic with their video editing. There's a clip of a dropship doing a vertical roll over what might be a new map as well toward the end.

I think that may be a faster way to change what dropsuit you are using without creating a completely new fit. Or even better, a specilisation (spelt with an s silly people!) subsystem. |

Lets hope the hit boxes are exactly the same as the males though, else it'll be the new scout suit. |

Now the -real- question you have to ask is where the Crusader Suit's squad support modules are going to go, as that was the theory for a long time =P |

Hate to disappoint but that is a drop suit icon. Pretty sure it is not adding any functionality. Also you will notice that the icon is not inline like changeable mods. I think that if they were going to make this a swappable icon it would be inline for consistency. |

As noted above, you probably can't swap it out. It'd make things awkward if you swapped for a suit with fewer slots, after all. More likely it's there so you can restock dropsuits from the fitting window. Currently you can only do that by restocking the whole fit, but if you have enough mods and just need dropsuits then right now you have to go to the market to buy them. Kinda a pain in the butt. |

Would be a little pointless to convey information that's blatantly obvious inside the fit itself - don't you think? This would be a lot easier than throwing in all of this (look down) under one category:

Easier solution would be to bring back the old restocking system. |

It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong - we're getting the specialization suits anyway. Wolfman said he wanted them in the AV hotfix but there were some market issues that prevented it from happening.

I really like the detailed module comparison feature.
My two cents on the icon at the top is it allows you to keep the loadout and change dropsuits, so long as the new suit has the slots for it.
Prolly does let you restock, too. |

I still wish Dust played like that in reality.
Both this and the E3 version shown are obviously on a dedicated LAN. We've never been close to that little latency or have that good hit detection.
Well I certainly haven't. Hopefully the crappy servers we're using as battle servers during beta are getting ditched in favour of something actually up to the task come release. |

Because sending/receiving information across an entire planet just ain't fast enough for this guy.
It's whatev, they have already stated an upgraded hit detection system is in play next build that is going to calculate lag into the equation. |

Excellent point about restocking the suit from the fitting window, instead of going to the market or by restocking everything at once. I hedger my bet that's what it's for.
Could be that (most likely), or could be a quick way to switch from male to female suits? Although this is probably not the case, as gender is picked when creating the character so that would be unnecessary... for the most part (aside from the guys/gals wanting to 'switch' things up every so often).

CCP promised this.
Quote:[FEEDBACK] Why gunplay feels GÇ£offGÇ¥ (Sensitivity, ADS, POV, Grenade throwing) - There is an improved FPS system which will address many of the issues that should be in the next update.
The ADS is still poor so if that is the next build.
The grande throw animation is still poor.
Look at "throw grenade " in other FPS and you can see how poor Dust is. Killzone 3 does it this way. The animations for walking and running is poor and so the camera.
Take at look BF 3 or Crysis 3 or any FPS and you can see how fluid the animations are. Crysis 3 looks like this. You can see how good that is compared to Dust. Weapons still are held not correctly, too far from the body.
Anatomically speaking it doesn't look like that are press on our shoulder. This is how weapons are held in Halo 4. Do you see the difference? This enhance the feeling of holding a weapon immensely and if you look at BF or KZ they do it perfectly as well. Nanite Injectors are poor.
Go at 2.10 & 7:30 here to see how Warface does revives. Still silly to see somebody standing up so quickly but hell its far better then Dust...and that is alpha footage. (Warface could come on consoles as well and ti's a F2Play)
Compare Dust with the other FPS and you can see why I say this. No real changes if that is the next build. |

I'd rather compare Dust with My Little Pony. Marked improvement - better game entirely.
Seriously - it's an MMOFPS... Not an FPS... It gets so frustratingly annoying when people just whine and complain about how it should be like every other cookie cutter FPS known to mankind - if it bothers you so much why not go make Water 342 and do it your damn self..?
EDIT: I'm just saying they're linking two completely different games into a single sharded universe in a persistent world that doesn't have multiple (live) servers - and you're honestly bitching because the animations aren't up to par with other games that don't have such critical multiplayer elements? Seriously dude, this isn't your cousin's little death match runner - far as I'm concerned it's doing good for a FREE ****ing game |

Bravo - use the video game that was developed by a company that had four FPS games worth of experience to land Killzone 3 (the basis of your comparison in case you somehow forgot) to compare Dust 514, the first FPS/MMOFPS game by CCP Games AS WELL AS the first and ONLY MMOFPS that goes crossplatform and connects to a video game from a completely different genre - for the first time EVER in human history.
And just to drive my point home on just how impatient you are - this is a video game that is going to have two expansions a year to tweak, improve, balance and add new features to the game. SO. While we're sitting here complaining about the quality of the -closed beta- of this game, I'd like to throw this out there:
The people who play this game are some of the most infuriating, impatient, immature and entitled SOBs that I have ever seen in a game second to - AND ONLY SECOND TO - Mass Effect 3. It's one thing to request a feature or an improvement, but it's completely different to -expect- one.
We done here?
EDIT: CCP - please, for the love of god, don't get the impression that graphical aesthetics are more important than core gameplay... Don't listen to these people - just keep working on the connection between the two games and let the problem weed itself out, lord knows half of them aren't going to last the second they get a taste of the complexity of it all.... |

Agreed! Why do people compare dust to other games? because dust will be competing with the other "cookie cutter FPS" out there. If it cannot even compete with the generic stuff It will lose players.
Since someone pointed out that this is also an MMO the most important aspect is THE PLAYER BASE. If dust cannot maintain a critical mass of player then the whole thing will flop. Imagine EVE with 10% of the current player base. Who would you play with an for what?
Games like this are driven by the players. A small hardcore group alone cannot keep it alive. Dust NEEDS to attract players from other FPS games so it NEEDS to be just as polished. |

And to answer your question there is a game that has 10% of Eve Online's player base - it's called Eve Online: Serenity. It's available only to china because of their strict internet access laws and they get along just fine with their limited numbers. |
