i know some may not want this but lets look at facts here for one thing ppl are doing is try to get ideas from BF2 COD about Bullshit anyway so why not have a 3rd person shooter point of View on the side in different server for that to happen for us or unless you want it to be straight out in air that only way one could do that is to buy use ARUM or skill up or on certain times of day .
anyways point being we all could work on more ideas of helping each other out in game and progresss i think this would be awesome new feature. anyways all im saying or ask for CCP to do is make a Point of View Third Person as so others that dont like FPS view could switch or change with a option thrown in . and yes i can play and am use to fps and 3rd Person view doesn't bother me but would be nice to impliment for those that like that and to attract those crouds that come thru .but since other games have that games have 1 ,2,3 person POints of view in game i think it only be fair to let this game have it too .

No erd person. The issue with alot of games in 3rd person is being able to see around obstacles and other stuff without putting yourself in harms way. |

You'd end up with the same issues as Planetside, where everyone would pop out to 3rd person at corners to get the drop on anyone around them. |

its just a idea since everyone especially the diehard COD BF3 etc etc fans wanting to make all fps shooter games exactly like those games why not include the 3rd person POV in seperate matches they do it in and have it in COD i know but its special matches you have to choose to have them in in order to use it so why not do the same assuming CCP will ever fix the battle finder instead of making it random matces . so then those that choose to play in those matches can ? no harm no foul and far as getting owned in 3rd person POV can't help that it happens FPS as well just a matter of how you see it is all . at least with having option thrown in would attract more crouds which in return means better business all around . |

No third person view it ruins games being unrealistic aware of everything. Part of the fun of a shooter is not knowing if your about to run into someone |

Thinking about this the other day actually. In some ways a 3ps pov would make certain situations easier. Maybe an option to toggle on or off?

it wouldn't be forcing you to join a 3PS POV it would be optional matches you could get into so that it stays fair on both sides that way ppl like you that hate the idea of it or getting owned because of 3rd person POV wouldn't have to join it . it would be OPTIONAL so that way you could play your way and ppl who like it could play their way . win/win but still im sure your still gona hate either way but i really don't care either way still a good idea and for the fact if they made it would be OPTIONAL for those that like the idea . |

are you kidding me i would love the idea of a 3rd person POV on here and yes for it to be optional so others wouldnt complain and QQ . but make it optional like when you pick which match you want add in do you want to be matched up with other 3rd person POV players or something like that . either way i would love this idea. +1million for this one  |

Its just a terrible idea. Like I said before, in the first Planetside the Jackhammer auto-shotgun was called the most OP weapon in the game primarily because you could use 3rd person to see around a corner while remaining invisible to anyone around the bend. You wait for them to get close enough, pop out and empty your magazine into them, rinse and repeat. A 3rd person viewpoint would only lead to the same tactics.
Also, for the love of Christ, stop suggesting more and more ways to fragment the playerbase. Trying to get an option to segregate the matchmaker by control method is bad enough, but splitting people up between 1st and 3rd person is just going too far. |

An awful idea.
Before you say "NOFUCKYOUYOUCODSCRUB", I rarely play CoD or any Console games for that matter since DUST 514 is the only one to hold my interest longer than a month. I come from a 3rd Person Shooter where players have high HP, low damage weapons (similar to DUST in a way) and the strategy is simple, sit behind a corner, wait for someone to run up the corridor and then pop out and gank the scrub before he knows what hit him.
3rd Person view is awful for the majority of games. And seriously stop trying to get separate **** for different "servers". I don't think you quite understand what DUST 514 is aiming to be, there will be no separate servers, it's a single shard universe with all games making an impact in New Eden. So.. NOPE. |
