Dear players,
WeGÇÖve recently mad some changes to the Aurum currency valuation in order to offer more pricing variations and in some cases, lowering the cost of AUR items. This means the denomination of the AURUM currency has increased by 10 for all AURUM related items and products.
By increasing the amount of AURUM purchased per unit of real-world currency by a factor of ten, we wish to test our pricing system during the closed beta with the goal of offering better deals to our players so expect to see new AURUM packages offered on the PSN store soon.
For those who have already purchased AURUM packages you will see your AURUM wallet amount increased by 10 and all previously spent AURUM will be reimbursed when we reset the servers.
The AURUM currency denomination change is expected to go into effect after downtime on Monday, September 24th. We look forward to hearing your feedback and comments. Thank you.
Okay, so from what I understand, what was previously 1 AURUM now yields me 10 AURUM for same amount of real-world money spent.
That means my AURUM wallet amount will accordingly increase tenfold GÇö E.g. if I have 5,000 I'll get 50,000.
I think you meant "times" 10 rather than "by" 10.
Right ?
EDIT: I precised because upon reading the text, one could be confused between augmenting "by 10" meaning, for example, 5,000 to 5,010 GÇö and augmenting "by a factor of 10", meaning 5,000 to 50,000.
EDIT 2: As a friendly note, one should only use the word "by" when referring to dimensions. E.g. A square that's 13cm by 13cm.
EDIT 3: Hmmm...do I smell NEW BUILD ON THE 25th ?????????? |

Note that the denomination of Aurum currency is increased by ten. So depending on how they're using the word denomination, "by ten" is correct. This suggests that Aurum is handed out in the game in one AU bills, so I wouldn't mind seeing an NPC hauling a giant briefcase of money to our quarters when we buy a Merc pack or something. :) |

I'm confused too bro, sat here last night trying to decypher yet again another cryptic post by cmdr Wang, and I still can't figure it out lol. Cmdr Wang we luv ya. Also I also have a suspicion that the build is the 25th, too many things point to it and now this aurum denomination on the 24th. |

Well, when I logged on today (didn't play yesterday) I found my 3,300 AUR had exploded to 33,000.
I had to read here to find out why. |

I'm still curious if they'll be keeping this change beyond testing, because that would indicate a similar change coming for EVE, and I honestly like that idea. |
