I noticed a spike in the number of players wanting to know why CCP hasn't posted any patch notes yet as Sept 24 nears and why CCP has only been making announcements about the new build in public events like the Tokyo Game Show and not in the beta forums first.
Well, I got a question for you folks. Did you ever consider whether or not CCP made any definitive promise on the date? The only reason Sept 24 seems like a logical date to everyone here is because some of us beta testers assumed it to be by simply reading announcements on the new PS3 slim and from CCP ultra-vague post about the new build coming "by the end of this month". But no one made any confirmation on whether or not the date was certain. We just used our amateur detective work and guesstimated.
Overall, us players are the ones responsible for our own impatience and suspense. |

Well the precursor patch notes were released august 10, precursor build was released august 14 (Tuesday), so that's 4 days. They said end of the month for this new build right? Well the only logical day to release a build is a Tuesday when psn updates. There are no more Tuesdays in this month apart from the 25th, going by previous builds and patch notes......the notes are released 4 days before the build, so that would mean the notes would have to be released today/tomorrow. You're right that they did not set a specific day, but when there's only one day left in the month that gives them a doorway to release the new build, then the supposed release date is obvious.  |

Yeah, as the guy there said, we had an estimate of sometime this month, and new builds coincide with PSN updating, so it's hardly a surprise that we're a bit baffled that we seem to be on course for the new build to be delayed. I haven't seen anyone accusing CCP of "breaking a promise" or something crazy and silly like that, but it'd be cool of them to give us an updated ETA if it turns out the build is going to be delayed.
But, y'know, at the end of the day, what's the problem? We have nothing more to discuss with the ancient build we're currently playing. But we like Dust so we're anticipating the new build a lot. No harm there, right? Probably a good sign that we're eager to see what nearly two months of work has been able to add to the game? |

I wouldn't mind anything if they showed us the build at TGS MAYBE INSTEAD OF HOGGING IT FOR THE CHINAMEN!!! Joking. |

I can see why on some accounts CCP is reluctant to give out hints, because people take it as fact and get angry when it doesn't pan out...
But I do admit, I love me my juicy tidbits of info also! |

I don't really feel like making a new thread, but here is a screenshot of a new planetary mechanic on the Eve test server if you guys are looking for morsels. I'm not sure if it will have anything to do with the next patch we're getting though. |

Thanks. My subscription has been on suspense because of money issues. But once I'm stable, money wise, I will get back on and try it out. |
