I think that everyone who participated in the beta should receive some kind of gift at launch. Nothing that would give us an advantage, just something aesthetically pleasing. Or even a Decoration on that page in the pause menu. I don't know about you guys, but I've been noting every bug that's happened to me and others as I've gone along, as well as provide feedback.
Maybe a Militia Scrambler pistol that's all beaten up, parts broken off of it, with scratches down the side that has confirmed kills. With a nice little description such as "You were one of the first clones to be sent to battle, when you were in the most dire situation, this pistol saved you. Barely functioning but somehow in tact, this is not just a gun. It is an extension of yourself."
Or maybe some cool battle-hardened drop suits.
Assault Drop Suit: Part of the face mask smashed in. Bullet holes, scratches and dents everywhere on it, one shin guard broken off, maybe the sleeves torn off as well.
Description: The other clones look at this one in confusion, wondering why he wouldn't buy a new suit that is more functional and looks better. He wonders when he will get to kill them in battle. --
Heavy Drop Suit: Dents in the 25mm armor, maybe a tank shell lodged in the the armor near the heart with electricity crackling around it. Maybe with a shoulder pad on the right side with golden tassles hanging down indicating great honor and loyalty among the Amarr.
Description: Armor imperfections are usually frowned upon by the Amarr, but nobody dares question the clone who took a shot to to the chest and survived for fear of being killed on spot. He shows no mercy to the Minmatar and will gladly kill every last one of them in the name of his god and empress.
-- Scout Drop Suit: A big crack in the face mask, a gunslinger belt (wild west style) with a scrambler pistol holstered in it. And maybe some spurs on the back of his boots just for giggles because they already kind of look like cowboy boots. And for the actual suit itself and not the equipment on it, make it pure black.
Description: A new clone once made the mistake of laughing at this clone's armor, saying to him "Hey moron, what happened to your face armor?" the black scout in a blur of a motion, drew his pistol and shot the new clone in the face without looking, blasting him out of the drop ship as they entered battle. as he said "Nothin' what happened to yours?" (+1 if you got the reference.) --
Logistics Drop Suit: The right eye thing glowing red, or maybe a night vision goggle style face mask instead. With the little faux hawk on the top of his head extended out some more, I don't know. Can't think of anything good for this one.
I know it probably won't happen. But I can dream right? I think it would be really cool of CCP to do this for us. What would you like to see as a reward for beta testing the game?
Rules: It can't have any advantages over other armors. It would probably be a starter fit. And it has to be somewhat realistic. (dang I was hoping for some hello kitty themed gear.) |

That cost real life money and are not a reward for beta testing. Why would you be against it? Arguing for the sake of arguing? SMH.

No, they aren't. You got them for being a part of events during the last build. The merc pack gets you the dragonfly scout suit.

I got in with full access because I signed up almost a year ago as an Eve Online player. I was thinking about buying the merc pack anyways, but I was like 'meh' don't feel like it. |

To build off the original idea, instead of just a suit, maybe we could have this
One full loadout to look beat up Whichever suit you prefer-Prototype and beat up Side weapon=pistol idea Main weapon=assualt/sniper/etc of your choice, prototype level, beat up some custom additions, like special grenades or custom droplinks that cut the drop time down by half maybe a biotic/mechanic booster that only we get
^all of this would not give us much of an advantage, but people would def. know when they were playing with a tester.
^to use all the gear, as it is prototype, you cannot just select and use. you have to be leveled up enough to use it all. So to get to the point where we can use the gear, we need the skills to get there. Thus, you can only use the suit over a period of a time, and only the true players really will get to use it.
Any thoughts? |

Then it would have to cost some ISK. Because an unlimited amount would be really terrible for the game. |

The idea of a battle worn suits/weapons is a really sweet idea and I really like it except for one thing. It just wouldn't work because we are fighting as clones. We die and loose whats on us, so in reality there couldn't be a battle worn suit (for very long) because you'd eventually die and get a new suit, no matter how good you are. Now I know this is just a ascetically pleasing reward but still it would have to make sense. However, something like special emblems on our suits, weapons, or vehicles would be really cool and make perfect sense. |
