I was driving around in Dust when suddenly the game froze so I wanted to shut down my ps3 but it didn't shut down so I had to switch the on/off button on the back of the ps3 when later I tried to start the ps3 again and then it made an unbearable high pitched noise and the sound is all messed up now.. it keeps on doing that high pitched noise..
Does someone know how to fix this? |

Buy a new one, or just reset the whole system and hope for the best |

"Buy a new one" that won't really fix it.
What I did was reset system then switched it off, wait like 30 minutes and switched it on again. |

Its a lot better than it was, but I still get maybe one hard freeze a day (last build probably one every other hour). So getting there, just hope no long term damage to my hardware. |

Considering your using an older ps3, maybe the issue... the newer slims dont have a reset "switch", we simply unplug from power. and also, your older ps3 may be nearing its end of lifespan...
Try a fan test, if you can do that with the older ps3's |

What I meant was reformat it if that is the correct term.
A new one will certainly fix f the noise issue just wont fix the game |
