I usually always use the drop uplink for tactical spawn positions which I like doing, but for ages even though I come top a lot with loads of kills, vehicle destructions etc I max out at just over 10,000 SP. I've just used the Ammo drop thing twice, not even for complete matches and I got 15,000 and 30,000 SP. I don't think thats quite fair, sure ammo is useful (and the only reason I'm using it is cos nobody else is and I really need ammo), but tactical spawns can have a much greater effect if used wisely and I don't think this is being reflected in the SP earned. |

I see where you're coming from but then it turns into people dropping uplinks everywhere just in hopes of getting the points for it. It loses it's value tactically. |

Only slightly, I would assume that most people look around for the spawns when they die a d would naturally chose a spawn that puts them in a safe/tactical area rather than just picking a drop uplink in the middle of nowhere for no reason.
A good tactical spawn point gets used a lot, and generally is in a location that isn't easily accessible for any reason other than spawning such as on a building and should be rewarded. Even if they just bumped the reward up to 30 or 35 I feel that you would see more people using them.
Just my humble opinion though. |

Yeah but even compared to just sitting as a passenger in a dropship, I get bugger all SP for using the Drop Uplink. But you are right and I've seen this happen with the Ammo Drop, people just throwing them all around one of the fixed ammo dumps lol Just becuase thats where everyone seems to camp. Still I think it needs tweaking. |

Oh no worries, I see where you're coming from and definitely feel like the uplinks could use a bump up in points awarded. Just trying to play devil's advocate. I definitely aren't used enough, especially on Ambush. I think you're point is a good one though.
Also, +1 for a decent response on a post for once. |

um you should be getting 80k for top kill games, how are you only getting 10k sp? Are you talking about after you've played a while? Becuase dust uses a system where the payout of sp goes down over time. However, if you switch it up and use logi or other warpoints I'm pretty sure those will start fresh. So you gain more sp per day by moving around and using every sp gain possible.
I've gotten 130,000sp in a single match. |
