So this morning I woke up to it raining and I thought that weather would be a really cool addition to dust. There could be things such as just rain, storms, or depending on the planet, sand storms or something like that. The weather could actually change the outcome of the battle as well. Such as theres a battle going on and it starts to storm, creating low cloud ceilings, which could help or hinder any air support. I think that this would be a great addition to the game and it would would help in making every battle different and unique. Thoughts? |

Ide like too see rain, having it streek down your visor in combat too add a bit of difficulty would be neat. Fogs and the like would be great too disrupt snipers. Sand storms would also be neat |

I'd like to see snow, both falling and settling on the ground. Hampering movement speed of infantry and causing crunching foot step sound effects. LAV's slipping around and struggling to get traction. HAV's not effected, obviously, since they are tracked vehicles. |

Cloudy with a chance of death.
Ice planets should have snow. I believe they have talked about weather implementation, I have no link. |

So many many possibilities unfortunatly i cant think of a game tghat works weather correctly which leaves me to believe that its a coding nightmare.
But if ccp can do it so many many possibilities |

Cloud cover could effect the availability/effectiveness of orbital bombardments. It would be a good way to make people really prepare for the environment as well. Like we could have a forecast that says that it could be snowing or in a sand storm or whatever so plan accordingly. |

Not really.......the targets aren't selected by the pilot doing the ground bombardment. It's done by the commander or other leadership on the ground. The only thing the pilot will see is an electronic marker that they target the turrets onto. |

I think the problem(I have) with things like low clouds affecting (or normal clouds at all) flying or bombardments is that we are in the far far future. I'm pretty sure technology has advanced to a point where they could see through clouds--
I do however love the idea of snow/dust storms and rain etc.. and more variable terrain that will be sure to come someday. It'd be pretty awesome! |

ive seen it in only 1 game and that is acctually unreal tournament
the map is called sandstorm and every 5 mins a sandstorm hits reducing visabillity to a few meters so it is possable |

There already is dust flying around, and a fog like condition on some of the maps. Spending half my time sniping, I can tell you it irks me when it happens. But in a good way. I like the weather. |

It would be nice. AC III is supposed to have weather in the game, but that is the campaign version. Could be a horrible issue in multiplayer. |

We're targeting on a beacon anyway so weather has no effect on aiming from the orbit.
As for the weather I wouldn't mind a bit more effects like, rain, snow or fog, besides we already have dust (no really we do). |

Great idea! However it really needs to depend on the enviroment of the planet, it cannot just start to snow if we are on a planet that is like the ones right now, the planet needs to be a planet that has a frigid enviroment. But raining is a great addition! +1 |

This is true. So just because a planet only gets a very little amount of rain does not mean it cant be cold outside when it does. And really as long as a planet has water on it it has a chance of rain at least at some point in time somewhere on the planet |

Personally though, I'd prefer if they spent more time working on the shooting mechanics. |

The spikey map has lightning storms sometimes (though no rain yet) and the rest all get visibility reducing red dust storms occasionally. |
