Ok before i get hate, i don't mean this as a heavies only deal. I think that there should be a class of rifles that use the weapon type that has a slower rof (other than rails in this instance) that are a bit like a middle line in between ars and snipers.
Any thoughs? |

Wait for the racial weapons first and i think you'll find something that will be along there lines, probably minmitar weapons. |

Well, we did get to see a glimps of laser rifles in one of the fanfest trailers, and they were being carried by heavies, so I could very well see them being a Heavy-Only weapon, especially since at the moment the number of Heavy Weapons is rather low. |

It adds additional value to the Heavy because they're the only ones that can use it. |

yes.
preferably assault. it would have to be the tech-II variant and would have to trade off another slot for it to be balanced i think.
heavy could probably work as is. just make a variant that has two "L" slots instead of a heavy and a sidearm. |

I have always loved this idea. I posted an idea for a sniper rifle variant that would be exactly that. Having it as a new gun type entirely would be awesome too. |

Actually, notice how they've been referring to the current AR as a Light AR recently? I think you're onto their plan for future weapons, not just speculating. |
