I'm not entirely sure what to call it, but what about a "back to wall" ability with character "roll-off" movement? I've included a clip from an EVE trailer as an example. The technique I'm referring to is at 1:11 in the video.

I think it's called wall cover but leaning sounds just as alright. Rated up because I like the idea. Sliding would be cool too |

While I hate cover shoot I would like to have have a lean feature it be useful especially if it was kept in first person |

Yeah, not a fan of cover shoot myself. I like how the guy had to "roll out" to fire. |

ehh, i don't think cover fire mode lends itself well to this particular game. My opinion is biased though because i've never really liked that type of gameplay. In Dust , though, i think we've got enough shield and armor to make cover fire unnecessary. Plus, cover fire modes usually mean less accuracy, i believe, which would make it essentially just a quick way to waste ammo in Dust, lol. |

Crysis 2 did it pretty well, though ive only played the campaign so ive only used it against AI they were fairly smart... For AI... And considering the context of the game they were pretty good.
I hardly ever noticed or felt like "leaning" was a nessesity just something I did when I wanted a edge or to get a idea on enemy positions. |
