now before you AV people come in here and instantly disagree with me just because i'm a tank driver read the post.
I say we should make it as it was before the AV nerf. after all, most of you started complaining after the AV nerf. maby increse the damage of AV weapons to 5% above that point because some people even then complained about it but the main problem at that point was people trying to kill sagarises with malitia weapons. that problem might have been fixed a little if the malitia AV weapon diddn't do explosive damage(which works best against armor)
(i underlined the part i found most importaint)
***EDIT*** i meant to say and keep the way the turrets are now the same |

Don't raise the av damage until we get a wider variety of vehicles and it is deemed essential |

I disagree for one reason. Before this build there was really only one or two right builds for a tank. Now there are a lot of builds that would be interesting to try... if I could keep the damn thing alive long enough to try them! Nerfing tanks resistance was the right thing to do. Now you have to use strange and interesting and expensive balances of Extenders and Hardeners to get a good fit. However, they could have nerfed resistances by half what they did and still made thing balanced for AV people (by the numbers I'v looked at. I'm sure some people would still complain on both sides) But they should not have undone the 25% nerf on av damage on top of a HUGE nerf to ehp of all vehicles. That's just silly. The Pendulum is out of control and swinging more wildly every patch on this issue.
Dear CCP,
Please try and hit a happy balance between the last two patches. I would like to see resists still balanced well with extenders to reach that max ehp at the absolute highest amount of CPU/PG I can squeeze out of my tank. I enjoy experimenting to find really good ehp fits. As it was before I could just strap 4 Ward em resists and a booster and call it a night. Now I actually have to try. Thats good but tanks really are now too weak. All the effort I did to find a 15k ehp fit seems waisted. Sure I found it but its just not worth the effort. |

Can I ask why we should wait to balance tanks now because there are more vehicles to come sometime in the future? Will the tank balance make it somehow harder to find a good balance for new vehicles? |

Before the recent change, tanks were overpowered (or relatively, AV was underpowered). Now, tanks suck, and AV is too powerful. I don't drive a tank and I agree. The middle ground would have been preferred. AV needed unnerfing. Tanks now seem nerfed.
Another point . . . forge guns. Once again, after the recent changes, they are again silly. But I digress. |
