you might be an incredibly well organized, friendly bunch of folks.
However, some of your more vocal members could be alienating the larger part of the community.
We are Beta testing- we should be reporting issues and talking about them in a calm constructive fashion.
Unfortunately there are some folks who are choosing to talk trash, and ridicule those that post things they do not agree with.
(I should mention, its not just Clan/Corps folks doing this)
im not sure that is the kind of PR you want for your Clan/Corps. |

Beta testing includes testing the game's social aspect. Maybe if there are enough jerks CCP will include mechanics for kicking people out of a match or something like that. The problem would still be there when the game went live unless we tell the devs about it now. |

Do any of us really want a player like this? I don't because of the attitude of his post. People/players have a right to come to the forums to say what they want, good or bad. No corp controls its players that they say they can't post in the forums. If there are corps that are telling players not to post, then why are you with them.
Its called FREEDOM OF SPEECH, good or bad its your right to speak on these forums.
Do I agree with what any of you, or all of what my fellow corps post... kittens NO. But at the same time, thats their right.
What if you joined a corp and because you wrote this, they kicked you out. Is that fair?

I don't think CCP will add this unless its for a corp leader to do to their corp underlings, but not so you can boot out a random player. From what I know being an ******* is allowed in the world of Eve. |

My investment?
well as I see it, we are all part of the same Clan/Corp right now; the CCP BETA Test Corp
The goal of this beta is to test, balance and fix things.
the chest beating and trash talk, all have their place, in the commercial release of the game.
now however we should remain focused on what the primary goal is at this time, making the game as good as it can possibly be.
If we remain focused on the primary goal, which is to test this game, we will have plenty of time in the future to explore the other more dramatic/social elements when the game is finally released. |
