Hi guys or girls,
playing the beta for a while, I got one question, that i can`t find an answer. I read a lot - before getting in the game.
I can use militia-gear, without spending SP, right? the militia-gear is cheap but crappy. I like Dropships, so I fitted the militia one with rocketlauncher etc. and did really good. The point I don-Št get is - why should I spend millions of SP to use other Dropships instead? They are really expensive and to afford them I need to play 1 - 2 battles... If you are then unlucky or got an unexperienced crew, you get shot down in seconds...
Hope you understand my point - don-Št be too strict

Non militia stuff is even better (you can compare the statistics in game), for example, you can fit better equipment
I don't know how about dropships, but dropsuits in the past were better. But because some folks began to complain, that veterans with better equipment will have unfair advantage against newbies with militia so they now made equal HP to lowest and best dropsuits, but the better ones, just have "more room" for better equipement/weapons to equip.
But remember this is beta, so a lot of tweaks should be made. |

Militia gear and cheap fits can be ok, but training up the skills and unlocking advanced and prototype gear will have performance payoffs.
Most visibly with dropsuits and weapons. More advanced suits will have more CPU/PG and additional module slots. The extra slots allow you fit more tank for example. More advanced weapons will have better damage or range or capacity.
With a character wipe sometime soonish now is the time to spend some of that aurum and try out different things. |

If you survived a match with a militia dropship you're lucky. They are really easy to shoot down and I'm baffled as to how you made it without going down in a fiery wreck.
Anyway to answer you, real dropships are much better in all ways. There isn't even a comparison. |

Once you understand the nuts and bolts more, you will see the advantage in more cpu/pg and more module slots. If used strategically they will pay off more than just a few more hp. |

Yea, militia vehicles are total crap. The one militia LAV you get though can be fun as a throwaway trying to ram people but that's about it. |

With maxed skills I think a proto assault suit has 200 more CPU than a standard one. Two more high slots, two more lows and an extra equipment slot.
Sure it doesn't have straight up more HP but you can pretty much make it better in every way.
Personally I'd prefer they still had a bit more HP though. Or maybe sideways benefits like more stamina and melee damage and speed and shield delay. |

okay thanks for your answers - helps me a little bit. I understand the point regarding dropsuits - but is it really essential or make any differences, which dropsuit I use for flying?
Thx again. |

Militia Gear is the same as standard gear, except you buy it once and it lasts forever, (except for militia vehicles).
Standard, advanced and proto vehicles and suits have more CPU/PG and more slots. These are lost once you die in battle however.
Standard, advanced and proto modules use more CPU/PG as you get higher up, but the Standard modules are generally exactly the same as militia only much more efficient than the militia modules. This means you can fit more of them or better ones as you skill up and unlock the more advanced gear.
It doesn't give you a massive advantage, just a lot more options when it comes to creating your fittings. |

Ahh okay thx Tyas Borg - what I left unconsidered, is the CPU/PG of the vehicles Makes sense now - vehicle with more CPU/PG can be fitted better and gets stronger.
Thanks for your help |
