Dont like the Vehicle nerf. And I dont even use tanks. Does anyone feel that CCP keeps on going too far with the Nerfing. I mean a boost to AV AND weakining vehicles. Its like they like swinging the pendulum back and forth of OP and Super weak. Now all the vehicles are death traps. |

I believe it is part of testing process and that they are aware it is not balanced. |

I can tell you from plenty of experience that balancing is always ugly, and its only going to get uglier if we want to get everything ironed out for release. |

For reference, the original Fighter Bombers, which could only be used by Super-Carriers and were designed for anti-capital usage, did a crazy amount of damage to even mobile capital targets, could be assigned like regular fighters (park your SC at a POS, assign all your FBs to high-speed frigates, and rake in the killmails), and used the same missile mechanics as ships, such that their release cause lag on a scale we had never before seen. |

Pilot suits and passive skill bonuses will help counteract the vehicle nerf. The problem is that there are so many factors that need to be changed, and everything needs tweaking...so when you're changing 100 variables at once, its going to cause issues here and there but its part of the process. |

This is actually standard practice for game development (or at least has been on more than one project I've seen in beta) as a method of gathering statistics and comparing data sets. I won't claim to know all the nuances of why/how it's useful but it's a tool/method not an oversight. |

Yes they are aware of how much of a change this is, on the buffing to AV and the debuffs to tanks. They have said that these are not final changes,. am guessing after more playtesting they will settle somewhere in the middle on the changes for both AV and tank changes, whether it is through skills/dropsuit bonuses or flat out changing the resists/damage etc. |
