So currently you have to be in a squad to use voiceover with team mates outside of a match. Typing in the chat box to talk between matches sucks (assuming you are wanting to communicate with more than 3 people). I thought id throw it out there. Its worth the 1 AUR it costs to buy (at current prices you can get it for 30 days for 1 AUR). I know there was some confusion awhile back about its purpose and how it worked. Had no problems with it at all. Its a usefull tool. I recommend it! |

No m8 the cocerns were over it's ludicrous joke of a price, not how or if it worked.
The comms on this game are bad enough but then they wanted to charge about -ú4 a month for UVT. lol yeah right. |

Yea I read through most the threads about it. I wasn't gonna bother with it but it got to a point where we frequently had too many guys for one squad at a time but we still wanted to talk between matches. I've come accross many players who don't know what it does so I was just trying to raise awareness and give it a thumbs up for those guys that squad with many different players. |

Well, 1 AUR doesn't seem expensive to me. Even my brother thinks it's a fair price.
However, given the alternative forms of communications available (Teamspeak, Google Talk, and Skype on the smartphone just to name a few) players might find a more effective means of communications outside of what CCP offers. |

1 AUR isn't... -ú4 a month was a joke though. Even my brother agrees.
Finding ways of using alternate out of game comms, which we do btw, says all that needs to be said about grouping, invites and comms in this game. It's the worst I've come across.  |

Ummm, you realize the 1 Aur price is likely just for the beta to encourage people to actually use and test it, right? They'll probably charge quite a bit more at release. They're getting us hooked now so we can't live without it and buy it at the real prices later!

Granted. The PS3 has needed at party chat option all along. But most the players I game with use in game comms as opposed to said alternatives. And at 1 AUR it works out to .4 cents a month at the standard conversion. I got the merc pack for half off so it only cost me .2 cents. And remember that the UVT option kicks a lil bit of cash over to CCP so they can continue developing the game we all love to play. |

That 1 AUR is only a temp thing, I highly doubt it will be that cheap it the latter stages of the game. I barely use it as it is so if people want to do comms outside of squad they can catch me on skype or something lol. |

The 1 aur was a panic solution because of the uproar the original price created.
Yes I realise there is no such thing as FTP in reality, they have to make money.
So charge for what people would happily buy, not a team based game function that is a neccesity and try to rip people off for it.
Dunno who or how many at ccp thought this was a good idea. Guess they thought console players were idiots and wouldn't notice. '' WRONG '' |
