As I play this game more and more, I realize that playing as a team is massively beneficial to everybody. I have to admit, I played COD4, MW2, COD BO... and those games have a way of indoctrinating people to think in a "lone-wolf" manner.
But the more I play Dust, I have found that teamwork is such a fun thing to strive for. First thing I do when I spawn, is head toward a friendly, then go from there. Makes such a huge difference having somebody back you up, even if they just want the kill. I don't mind getting mostly assists, it's so fun working as a team. Reminds me of the good ol' days of Killzone 2 and Warhawk!
Just by working as a team, I have gotten more kills and less deaths per match and elevated myself higher on the match scoreboard. I even got my armor healed in one match tonight, which was the first time I have seen that.
So invigorating working as a team!
Now if only I could play, as tonight I get mostly "The battle you requested is no longer available" errors. |

Engaging in team play will also make get you 'primaried' by LogiBros. I know for myself if I have one blue who's been going Team and three others who just happen to be near each other I'll stick with (and repp, res, resupply) the one guy first even if he heads off in the opposite direction. |

I almost want to specialize as a logi because of how helpful they have been to me. Ammo re-supply alone has been priceless, let alone all the other awesome things a logi can do, and has done, for me and others. I love helping out fellow players, even if they don't appreciate it. Whenever a logi helps me, I try to let them know my appreciation. I will fight to the death defending them for sure! |

I'm with you here, it is better working as a team. I try to do the same, find someone and just stick with them. I have to admit though, it took me a while to figure out how to revive some one... I didnt realize that the revival kit was treated as a weapon and has to be equipped, I thought I would get the hit "O" option instead. If you see me on the battle field, I will be providing support for our battle buddies and you (given we are on the same side, lol). See you there!!! |

A solid combat guy and a solid logi can hold back groups of enemies of they're a bit spread out. One of my last games before downtime I was supporting an Assault guy who took out six enemies that tried to pus hour position. He not only gunned them down but moved to keep me out of the line of fire. Gave me the time to deploy hives and keep repping him (even rev'ed him once when a crossfire got him). Alone we'd have been fragged, working together we held. Teamwork ftw! :)
A great option for a low SP Logi is to get suits L1 (for the three slot equip slot) then go Uplink + Hives + tool or injector. Select a weapon your comfortable with and you're good to go. It lets you get a first spawn in as Logi to help support the team and still switch to your main dropsuit after one death.
An alternate option is to run your main dropsuit with either an injector or a repair tool and help keep the Logi alive (since neither of those can be self targeted).
If you decide you enjoy Logi it's a great option to have, my tastes run toward having one combat and one Logi fit then deploying in whichever the battle calls for most at that time.
For more information on Logi play (in case you decided to try your hand) check this thread: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=311933#post311933 The guys in there have a solid bit of experience at it and they're the ones who got me going.
