Who is the Hive Mind and is he attempting to be some puppet master behind the scenes pulling strings?

Basically.... Hivemind AKA Dr Spankit, enjoys the thought of himself being a military leader. (refer to a formerly linked article in the STB recruitment page for more info)
He seems to put himself in groups of people that enjoy trying to make their mistakes, seem like they were on purpose, and there's some sort of future event that will take place because of them. One of said people actually posted in this thread.
Now, as per EV...
EV is an alliance consisting of 5(give or take 4) corps all with the same mindset that hivemind has. (Not that it has any purpose) The average members of these corps, are far below a low intelligence level. Though, they do have some exceptions.
Personally, I've had close dealings with STB and DF.
DF seems like the better of the two corps, and the leader seems to be the most manipulative. Though, that's probably because STB's members are always drunk. Always. In fact, think of your stereotypical southern American, and that's what you'll see the average STB member to be. Well, a combination between that and the average CoD kiddy you would think of.
Enough hate on them though, no matter how annoying I find them, this is more for informational purposes.
They also have 843 that I'm aware of, which appears to be a rather small division in EV, and I wouldn't expect it around that alliance much longer, as they probably feel that it's too small for their liking.
And then there's TEA? I don't know much about them, beyond that they have 2 members I see fairly regularly in-game.
As I'm not actually an EV member, I can't tell you much more than that, with 100% accuracy, I just felt to inform the public of the truth, prior to their swarming you with them being the "tactical" and "strategic" sort.
They are more your average CoD clans that decided to form a peace treaty (I doubt it'll truly be an alliance is why I say that.).
Whether you want to listen to what I'm telling you or not, is up to you, but if you're planning on Dust being one of your main gaming experiences, you're coming from EVE, and new to FPS games, and their crowds, or you just want to feel more welcome, and like you have freedom as a human being, I would advise against joining any corp attached to the EV.
Here comes the "oh he's just butthurt about 'X' because 'Y'." You should just disregard that, as I am just trying to be friendly to the new members of Dust, that need guidance.

Kengfa. I take personal offense to your comments. I drink just as much beer as quickgloves does. Okay, maybe not that much, but still a lot. I deserve more respect than that. EV is an alternative game playing style. That's why I joined it. I was actually with the EV back from it's beginning, when it was just a crazy idea.
Now it will be awesome to see where this crazy idea goes. I'm still following EV's progress and I don't even know play Dust any more since I am studying abroad. It's a chance to be part of something unique, and by joining up with them you will only enhance the experience.
The EV gets alot of bad rep because it has many haters, mostly because of STB, which is one of the more outspoken EV corps.

Kengfa accused quickgloves of being a redneck or southerner or something, and quick is from jersey shores. It shows how inaccurate half the comments kengfa makes are. He makes broad accusations without knowing any details. It keeps us all entertained though. We have a "Kengfa quote of the week" section during our weekly EV leadership meetings. It's quite fun. We laugh frequently at his ignorant remarks because we realize that although he is trying to giver us a bad name, he is really just providing great publicity for us.
One might think that he is secretly a member of EV, only playing devils advocate just to draw attention to us. Hell, he might actually be "the hive mind" the way he claims to know so much about him. That's what i think. |

I haven't really had alot of dealings with them personally.
I do recall having a chat with Hivemind in the Beta C3 channel a while back. He appeared to be approachable and not once did he slate anyone.
This was 1 instance though, so I still don't think that I am in any sort of position to judge. I'm fairly easygoing anyway, and don't really tend to be confrontational unless I have any specific need to be. |
