I'm sitting on about a million SP right now and am having some serious second thoughts about going down the road of Logistics LAV, all I require at this point is the Gallente LAV Level 4 and I'll have it. I guess my question goes out to those who've gone down this road, do you regret your decision about putting in all the SP required in order to gain access to it? Did the Limbus fulfill its role as a competent Logistics vehicle? At this point Im conflicted between going Logistics LAV, or just going prototype armor repair tool (2 target healing simultaneously, 43 HP/s). Something that I haven't seen answered in any form is information regarding the repair rate and maximum healing targets on the logistics LAV. How does it compare to the prototype armor repair equipment?
I always tend to gravitate towards support roles in the multiplayer games I play, is the Limbus effective at being able to follow in and repair infantry armor quickly and efficiently? This is one of my primary concerns I think, ultimately the Logistiics is a fairly small vehicle but, especially on the smaller more industrial maps, it still wouldnt be able to navigate tight corridors to get in range of its remote armor repair tool. Or, as I'm beginning to suspect, would it be more prudent to just use any sort of vehicle fitted with the necessary armor plates to move from point A to point B and then just get out and use a prototype armor repair tool when required?
Then there's the issue of survivability, I realize the Limbus has built in resistances but, especially after the hotfix, how effective is the thing at surviving some of LAVs biggest hurdles; AV fits and potentially stray shots from other vehicles? Not to mention other LAVs considering the thing is rocking half the damage output of other LAV turrets.
I guess ultimately I just want to know, if given the opportunity, would the people who've gone down this road do it again, and if not, what changes would you need to see happen for it to be a legitimate place to sink your SP into? |

LLVs don't have any repairers... at least if you don't fit an armor repairer on it which does not lock on infantry.
DON'T spec into LLVs as they are currently a joke with no proper way to earn WPs. The built in shield booster is only viable if you are running with a squad of 3 guys outiside your ride and a DEFEND on your LAV as you don't get any WP for buffing. Oh.... by the way... the LLVs have a 0.5 damage multiplier! BUT the resses seem to be kept high on the LLVs as far I could feel it, even though the maximum hardness has decreased analogue to the hardeners nerf. |

He means the limbus not the useless charybdis. You know why cause the limbus repairs armor not shields and you get points for armor repairs. And believe me with a well fit limbus you are the hardest to kill target on the battlefield. Takes a couple of forgegun hits to blow it up. If you want to play logistic only get a type 1 logistic suit with 3 sets of gauged nano hives and drive around with the limbus. Repair dropsuits armor in seconds. When you see a crowd of your team trying to take a objective throw a nano hive. Its granted that every 1 will love you. Another thing is that you can lock on multiple targets and repair them. Alot of guys will love you and you can provide a pretty much safe transport aswell. |

As Dark Cloud mentions.
I found it pretty useful last build, but I'm a bit dubious of it's survivability at the minute. It used to be fine however.
They really should do something about logistics and shields tbh, at the minute it renders shield boosting and the Charybdis totally pointless speccing into.
Things like this need fixing before any sort of balancing frankly, I've no clue what CCP are thinking tbh. |

The Limbus sports a DS repairer?! Holy Flying MOO COW! Make it don't spec into the Charybdis then!
Just as a second thought: Is the DS armor repairer available on the market too ? I haven't spotted one yet that works on suits. |

The DS armor repairer is not available on the market, this of course making the Limbus an even more valuable item to invest in over the Charybdis. |

Yet you can get a free from requirements DS shield booster for any vehicle.
I haven't checked it this build but it had 0 CPU/PG cost.
Not quite sure of the logic CCP were using here, but there is one. |

The shield booster (s) buitl into the Char is definitely the same as the one on the market. |

A bit of an odd choice in my eyes as well, I guess they wanted something to serve as a "preview" of how well these vehicles are at doing the job they're set to do in their logistics class. |
