Is it normal for many of the maps to be void of color? There are a couple that are a monotone red with no other colors in the environment. With the latest download I've noticed some new maps that are black and white with no color. Is this by design?

I noticed another thread regarding the lack of colors and SDTVs. I thought I would add more details to what I am seeing.
- I have a 1080p HDTV (Sony) that I'm seeing these issues with.
- I do not see this on every map.
- On the maps I do see the issue, I still see the orange and blue team colors, that's it. Everything else is monotone, either black and white or red and white.
- I'm using a PS3 slim just purchased in January, 2012.
- Connected using HDMI cable straight from PS3 unit to the HDTV.
- All other games appear normal and colorful. Netflix and Hulu play with colors as well.

Perhaps if we raise this problem enough we can get a few more answers from CCP? So far all we've gotten
is...

I have an HDTV and I still think the colors are too overbearingly monotone. That one level with the big spiky rocks jutting out of the ground? All mixes of grey's and blues and blacks, not pleasing to the eye at all and also very hard for a SDTV to differentiate. Maybe it will look better once they get around to working on the graphics rather than the gameplay. That might be a while though, there is still a big debate going on over the newly nerfed tanks, and I personally would like swarm missiles to be able to be shot down and vehicles to have damage zones. |
