[I am new to Dust 514 and have never played EVE online. A friend showed me Dust 514 and so i decided to give it a try and this is some things that i thought would make Dust 514 a better shooter. Please correct me if i'm wrong.]
Starting off, there are the aim down sights animations. It's very useful but one thing i didn't like is that when you started to aim it would just instantly aim. When you release the aim button it will show your gun going back to the default holding position. I would really like the gun to have some form of animation that shows you actually aiming down then showing you actually aiming. This makes it more realistic. It wouldn't affect gameplay much if the animations move just as fast as it does when you release aiming.
Then, there is some things in the pre-game lobby i find kind of dull. When your walking around you move EXTREMELY slow. If i have no intentions on buying anything i like to just run around for no apparent reason for fun. To me it would honestly just be a improvement to the pre-game lobby if your walking speed was faster or if you could actually run around. It would help save time giving more time to choose items and navigation.
I have also noticed that the game has the regular stance and crouch, but no proning. Most shooters i see have some form of prone because it just naturally fits. If your playing as a Scout and if your on some cliff then prone would be very useful for sniping and picking off enemies. Also, proning can be used to dodge shots as well. If proning would make Scouts too difficult to fight up against then i always thought if you shot a bullet then it left a thin trail of smoke or something a long those lines.
Finally, were at the game's crosshairs. When your using your aim down sights then a square reticle just looks really odd. While when you just have your gun in a normal stance it uses the traditional crosshairs. It would be a neat feature to actually be able to change your regular and aiming crosshairs/reticle in the options. Such as you could make them a variety of different size circles. You could have a circle with a regular crosshair inside of it to make it like the traditional sniping reticles. There are a good amount of variants which could help each player perform better based on their personal preference.
Suggested by Gcember: Reticle color changing could also help increase reticle customization as well.
Wow, that was a lot to write. Anyways, this is just a few ideas i thought of when i was playing the game and thought could be useful. There not really anything big, but mostly aesthetics to make the game look better and more polished up. |

Like your idea about the reticle, I have stated this before that the reticle is hard to see when aiming towards something bright, would want to see a colour change on it so it is easier to keep track of it when aiming towards someone that stands in a "bright" position :) |

I'll add that to the list. It's just always not everyone will find that specific reticle appealing so a variety of them should suit the majority of what a player might like for one. |
