Hi,
Forgive me as I'm not in game right now (wasup with that??)
I was wondering what the above setting does? There is no pop-up tool tip for me when I hover over it and sounds like something I could really do with...........
So, what does it do? and should I want it or not?
Regards

aim assist does what it says, it assists your aim. It used to be on as default but they changed it to optional.
When they took aim assist away, I found it harder to hit anything. Best to have it on. |

Apparently it helps keep your cross hairs on the target, but I've never noticed a difference one way or the other. I just keep it off.
EDIT: Or what he said, try it out and see what's best for you, I guess. |

Does that mean it auto tracks the target or does it 'click into place' when you are near it?

Auto tracking. It's not snap aim. No quick scopes here. |

Just played a few games with it and can't quite work out what it does.
I'd imagine that if the target moves and you move with it, it will stay on point rather than moving to slow or to fast, but I can't say I witnessed that. Though, I could have it completely wrong.

It's mainly for snipers, if you stand still and have your cross hairs on a moving enemy, the cross hairs move by themselves a little bit. |
