I have suggestions regarding how to improve Dust 514, but posting them all in one place leads to a massive TL:DR, so decided to split them into 3 threads. This is one of those threads. Part 1: Gameplay Improvements Part 2: Social Improvements Part 3: Other improvements (THIS)
[OUT OF BATTLE FEATURES]: -The starter skill/item-pack or "class" system (arbiter, sentinel, and enforcer) is unfair to those who want to those who want to get a headstart with a logistics player because of a lack of option for starter logistics skills and equipment. There should be an option to just start with no skill books, and no items, but gives the player more ISK and SP equivalent to a starter class, and let the player pick his/her own starting skills and and buy our own starting equipment.
-Selling salvage in the market. A lot of this stuff is useless to us, and an option to get rid of it by selling it for maybe half (or all) of its market value would be nice.
-Dropships are difficult to pilot + lack of BPOs = a lot of lost ISK and destroyed dropships just for practice. Better methods of training are needed. A virtual reality training mode would be awesome for practice.
-For when the Battlefinder is fully functional again: Filters for the Battlefinder server browser. Options to sort through them by region, game mode, number of players, map, and battle level (beginner, intermediate, veteran).
-Switching characters should be doable from the merc quarters.
-Instant Battle should NEVER tell me a server is full. It should keep looking until it finds one.
-A setting that gives "The ability to just jump into another random battle after the one you are in ends without having to go to a different menu would be great." This was proposed by Liebfugue.
-At the end of every battle, there should be a "net ISK gained" count that is obtained from subtracting how much ISK-worth of items lost from how much ISK was earned in the battle. To prevent complications related to the player driven market (which could cause prices of an item to fluctuate a lot), the ISK lost will be based on the price the player payed for the items regardless of current market value.
[AESTHETIC]: -Because each dropsuit type is manufactured by different corporations from different races, they should therefore have varying HUD graphics and coloring when it comes to their health meter, stamina meter, ammo meter, and minimap. This would really add a sense of variety which would keep the game from getting stale visually.
-More various and brighter colors are needed. The game still looks kind of boring.
-One of the great thing about MMOs is seeing your progress visually to the way your armor and weapons look. Having higher tier weapons look more complex and interesting would really make progression more rewarding, as well as being good for threat analysis for other players (deciding if they can defeat an enemy or not based on their physical appearance), so it would also add greater tactical elements to the game. Dust 514 already does this to an extent by having different colors for items of higher tiers, but this can be done much better. This isn't a priority, but something to think about, and maybe do in a year or 2. |

You have alot of ideas, very good. I can see it took some time to write them and organize your thoughts. However a blanket article may not be the best way for people to side with your post and get it noticed. Because if one person is going to reply in favor of one issue or disagree with multiple issues they must take your list and go through it one by one stating their opinion. This would take alot of time, and it's not something people tend to want to do.
Suggestion: Take each of your ideas one by one and see if there are already threads voicing your same opinion. If so join them an post a reply, if not disagree and post a reply. (alot of what you are suggesting is on the boards)
If a thread does not exist, post a new one: idea by idea. Then it is quick and easy for people to find and reply to and easier to catalog. |

You should take you're own advice; you already posted this on his other 2 threads. Also he did break it up into 3 threads, making even more threads/bumping other threads in my opinion would take alot of time, and it's not something people tend to want to do.
*Edit* No offence
