Did they increase the spray damage? It was always one shot on infantry...just a hard shot. A forge should kill a miltia Lav. I am confused by your post on many levels.

Well I've been using forge even before the hotfix I just learned to use them efficiently.. thankfully I can now properly dispose of STB zerg/tank roll squads effectively Type 2 heavy + maxed weaponry + sheild management Lvl4 + armor lvl 4 = gtfo of my way you chicken tank swarmers. You've probably been my victim, thanks for the 30k sp and 200k isk STB <3 |

What is your suggestion to fix forge sniping without ruining the gun for long range AV or having any use on the battlefield? Just curious. |

Funny that you say he was sniping with it. You know why that isn't viable? Because they have VERY limited ammo, and the fact that you have to use a heavy means no nanohives. They get a few kills, then have to go scavenge ammo or die. |

Ya I learned to effectively fire a forge at long range you just calculate the shake/drop never aim right on someone you will miss and die. Aim just above the head or the red arrow and let gravity hit garunteed hit everytime. But on rare occasion I will miss, however I use the first round as a tracer then follow up. It's actually quite nice to not be one shotted by maxed out AR's anymore and it's especially fun to make someone panic once they see that first round and run away. |

Better damage, better range, better splash. And it's handheld. I agree, any weapons manufacturer, even 25000 years from now, would look at the Forge gun, and say, lets put it on a tank, it is better than our current weapons. |

Hate to say it it's already hard enough to get that one hit kill between charge time, shaking, and projectile speed to add lock on would destroy it. I'd probably still use it tho. |

I put millions of SP into Heavy Weapon Sharpshooter, Weaponry, Forge Gun Operation, and Forge Gun Proficiency. Why can't I use my Forge Gun to attack at long range when I have invested my time and effort into learning how to use it effectively?
Wasn't this the ****ing argument you tank drivers had????? |

You realize how hard it is to land a proper shot with the splash damage being only 250 with a radius of 3m? All while having to deal with the camera jerking non-sense of being shot at by some guy with a -tactical sniper rifle- that just barely penetrates my shields??? |

I don't - but I'm not sure why you're wanting to reduce the damage over long distance when it's hard enough just making sure the shot lands.
It's not a mechanical error in the game - it's player skill. It's like trying to thread a needle, only the thread/needle is a 3m space with little room for error with a direct hit being seven times the normal damage. The reward for focusing on your aim. |

It's because long range forge guns are actually really damn powerful. With the large reduction in passive shield / armor hardeners, vehicle drivers will likely switch more towards active hardeners. Thing about that is they won't be as effective vs long range forge guns because it's next to impossible to predict when you'll be hit, unlike swarms. This will make all vehicles highly vulnerable at extreme range against a halfway decent forge gun wielder.
They need a middle ground. They should do max damage out to the old range, and then diminish up to about 50-60% at maximum range, at a certain rate as the distance increases. I think this would put them in a nice position, right now they're very powerful, and active hardeners won't change this much. |

In my opinion, they should of just buffed the forge guns and leave tanks alone to see what would of come out of tanks being 100% and also forge guns being 100%. Guaranteed there would be less issues like we having now. Also, should of left the rails turning speed alone...Takes 10 years to turn a railgun now..... |

Your just mad cause I took out two of your tanks in one game
And that was 120,000 proto forge with all AV skills up took me 4 shots and some other guys AV grenades and swarm to take yo out.
PS don't park at A for so long. I was able to spawn there in my load out. You didn't move. |

They 'fixed' the Forge before? Hilarious. A tank can use a railgun, but give us the same on foot and it's OP? Lemme do some dissection...
Tank mounted Railgun Accurate to a hair. Mounted on a brick. Decent splash. Can fire rapidly.
Forge Gun Shake AND large chance of a shot veering off, usually to the right. Mounted on a Styrofoam brick. Weak splash. Needs to spool up for every shot. Has ammo.
As for range, why should the handheld have any less force and distance if its slated goal is anti vehicular? Walk right up to that LAV/Dropship/HAV, tell me how that goes for you with a 3-6 second charge time. Meanwhile, lining up a shot on a human is hard, people who do so have my utmost respect... and yea, Militia LAVs (which CAN MOVE FASTER THAN A HEAVY CAN TURN TO FOLLOW, mind that) die in a single Forge Gun blast... what doesn't kill Militia LAVs within five seconds?
Oh, and Dewie? You'd better read this post, it points out exactly how and why you are wrong as well :D |
