It-¦s bin refreshing to get hammered on the battlefield in the first week of playing Dust514. This game is soooo refreshing after spending to many hours in mindless shooters like COD. I will never shoot a bullet in that game again.
And this is only a demo but still outshines the rest.
Well done CCP. Looking forward for the final product and the new worlds/planets to concur.

Totally agree, seems that the FPS industry do every year the same games, no evolution, and no motivation.
Dust is the new way for FPS, at least for PS user. ^^ |

Yep, DUST 514 is awesome. I'm more excited about this game than even the big PS3 blockbusters next (Beyond & TLOU included). my mind is blown when now I have read a lot and seen all the interviews and keynotes. The aspects of the game we are playing with so far are already awesome. I have been experimenting with dropships recently and it's a lot of fun, and I saw a jet plane of sorts in one of the early demos so I can't wait to see what else is released in the release build. I love that there is no going gold with DUST, it will be a living and dynamic game with ongoing updates and expansions, great work CCP. :D |

The depth of the game is extremely fun, and we are "only" on singularity right now, it is still beta, but it still feels like a released game! |

I may enjoy Battlefield (what can I say, it's the only game that lets me strafe tanks with a Flanker or Frogfoot and make the drivers rage), but this game has entirely replaced it for me since getting into the beta. |

Wait, isn't playing over time to unlock gear exactly how those games work? how would that scare us away?
As a Battlefield 3 player (with over 350 hours) and Dust 514 optimist I feel like BF3 is the largest competitor right now. Thankfully the DLC for BF3 premium will probably be ending around the time Dust goes live, as this will become my go to shooter for sure.
But I think the Dust devs should take a good look at Battlefield on the PS3 to see what works in large scale online battles and weapon variety/feel. I think if CCP get the weapons to feel more 'right' and tighten up the gameplay, I will have no trouble convincing members of my clan to move over to Dust.
This is an exciting game to be beta testing. |

So I got my "Assault Rifle Operation" to Level 4 and updated to the GEK-38. Big difference! I doubled my kills in the game. Going straight after Level 5 and the prototypes. Need more power baby...

in MAG you couldn't control the helicopter at all, just the onboard machine guns. Tanks respawn automatically a few minutes after it got destroyed.
dropsuit/vehicle suiting system can't be topped by any other online shooter I know, and buying new dropsuits/vehicles after it got destroyed is like real life: You don't get a new PS3 for free after it got busted, do you? |

I never played MAG, BF3, SOCOM, Brink or TF, so I can't really compare DUST514 to any of the aforementioned. I played WarHawk from beta but that's about it.
So, to me, this a whole new galaxy and I LOVES IT!!!

There's a nasty smell of elitism in this thread. Like Dust is in anyway superior or different to the raft of other FPS's out there.
Conceptually, it's has alot going on but at it's core, it's still a pew pew FPS. |

I wonder how many people will return to games like COD or Battlefield after playing this. Common... A beta version of Dust is outshining games that have bin around for years! I guess some die hard fans boys of the old games will kick and scream in the beginning but we all know what the score is don-¦t we? Dust514 is here to stay. |

I wonder that too. What we see here in beta is just a tiny glimpse of what comes next. Instead of the same five or ten maps, we will have thousands. Those maps are also able to be changed by the players so even if you do remember the particular terrain of a certain map, the offensive and defensive installations probably will be different and changing constantly during the course of battle. No more memorizing the maps and running to your favorite choke point. All that red unsafe area on the current maps will be gone, with way more running room. Right now it's like a barroom brawl.
Dust also offers the FPS genre something I don't *think* they've had before. The ability to hold territory and profit by holding/maintaining/upgrading that territory. ( This is my first FPS, so don't really know what others do except CoD that a roommate played) Having this ability also opens the door for Dust corps to have a real motivation to organize their troops and to negotiate with other corps, both planet side and space, to maximize their profits for the work they've done. Not only can they gather shiny weapons and equipment, now they can claim territory and fight for it.
Still, can't please everyone.. no doubt many will drop, my guess being that there's some comfort to be had in learning a routine and feeling awesome when you do the same damn thing over and over again. |

Building, territories, open market for weapons, open world and so much more. Personally I-¦m still figuring out half of the things this game has to offer but having more fun in a shooter than ever before.
I say it again CCP. Good Job Guys! :) |
