Nothing in the patch notes from yesterday's hotfix mentions anything about correcting hit detection, yet it felt more accurate to me and my mates yesterday.
Did you guys noticed this also ? |

What I did experience was less disconnects (no disconnects actually) and Instant Battle did not stop working so I did not have to restart ps3 either. Good progress! :D |

It felt worse, and the lag was terrible! The two are probably related.
Though crippling glitches were less frequent or non existent |

You might have just been lucky, and had a good few games. I don't think anything was being done about hit detection until the next patch/wipe...which is supposedly on Sept 22nd. According to CCP, we will really like what they've done with hit det after the patch. |

if anything, hit detection got worse and lag got exponentially worse. In many games tonight, I can fire an entire clip into a player, they die from somebody else, yet I don't even receive an assist.
Not to mention the random freezes and server disconnections have gotten much worse since the update.
EDIT: Also just to get past the 3 messages that show up on the boot of game (where you have to press X), takes me 30-45 seconds between EVERY message before the next one pops up.
This game is significantly more screwed up compared to last build. |

I was in a group of 3 yesterday, and we managed to play game after game. One of us had to restard Dust once because of some chatting sound problems, but other than that no problem. I even looked around in the fittings screens between games, and still nothing. Looking forward to testing today. |

Nope..hit detection is still horrible for me. Especially with sniper rifles even with non-moving enemies I guess i still have to figure out the bullet physics..sometimes it seems like they're instant hits, sometimes they look like they travel at 20km/h |

My hit detection is on a game by game basis. Some games it feels "right" other games it feels way off. From this one can deduce that lag is the main culprit. |

The hit detection hasn't necessarily improved, what may have happened is that you had some matches during times that the server was under less of a load. AS for the hot fix, I would like to know why the slight nerf to the armor of my Type 2 suits. WHY?
There have been serious frame rate drops and flag spikes occurring when I get logged into EU matches, and US matches. As for being able to NOT choose your server region, that is very sad for me :(. Hoping with the possibility of a new build appearing during or possibly after the Tokyo Game Show that a number of these issues will be addressed. |

At least to me, it seems like it's dependent on the amount of lag I'm seeing in the match. If the game is lagging pretty hard for me I aim directly at someone with a shotgun from ~3 meters away and it wont even hit them. |

I played one match of Ambush yesterday,and it seemed less laggy,but as someone mentioned,it was probably due to less stress on the server at that particular time.The second match that I got into,I had to quit because of the "invalid" bug.
Have to play more today to see if the game is playing any better. |
