I think most people that say they're doing a bad job have no idea what goes into a game development project, and no matter how much they nay-say or whine, they will never know until they have been on a team and shipped a finished product.
Gamers have become a lot more entitled in the last 10 years, and there really isn't much you can about that. The more people that are involved in a gaming community, the more you'll see a diminish in quality criticism and an increase in vocal diarrhea.
CCP has their own way of doing things, and it works. They have been better than most companies at being attentive to their communities while still tip-toeing through the barrage of crap and picking up the signal among the noise. They have created a great product that allows them the financial breathing room to experiment with new and exciting ideas like Dust. Some people appreciate that, and some don't.
That said, yeah, I think they're doing good. |
