OK,
Why cannot I make a player with my Toon name from TQ, or link my TQ player to the dust?? Is this just because it is a beta or will I never be able to play dust as my TQ toon or a copy with the same name?
An a big shout out to the 1 member of team red I killed so far... just 1, the rest were like stealthy ninjas!

That is why I assumed I could not roll a toon with the same name, but will my Capsuleer be able to come out and play in a drop suit? |

There's the RP aspect: A god-like capsuleer wants to fight on the ground and get dirty? Or the technical side: Having 2 different sets of skill points on one character could cause a lot of havoc on the server. |

If you capsuleers name is "George Smith" than call you dust Character "George Smith's Clone" basically the clones of your capsuleer will be your dust mercs. |

I'm just lazy... thinking up a new toon name takes up brain cycles that could otherwise be used to think about boobs...
Also, I wanted to fly my Hulk in and mine them all to death ^_^ |

EvE=10Sidhe, DUST 514=Ten-Sidhe, name origniated when psn wouldn't let me start name with numbers when trying to use EvE name, playing boarderlands. Capsuleer went to pandora through wormhole...
I figure it works, same bloodline, race, opposite gender...fits dust background still. |

Nope
Sorry to say but your Capsuleer is not James T. Kirk, and will not be personally beaming down to the planet surface to kick Klingon ass. He's got enormous amounts of money and godlike power inside his ship, but outside of it he is a squishy meat sack susceptible to sudden cases of permadeath. You aren't going to be convincing him to leave the safety of his pod or ultra-secure station facilities anytime soon.
A capsuleer will always be restricted to space, and a dust merc won't be possessing a 3 million ton spaceship with his mind anytime soon.
EVE and Dust characters are unique and can't share names or occupations. |
