Once the new build arrived myself and a friend were able to chat fine in squad chat. However, from that weekend we have not been able to chat together, period. Often I can hear him, but my voice cannot be heard from his end. It isn't a PTT issue, or a channel selection issue, I've tried three mics, one wired, two wireless, all of which work fine in audio settings and in other games. Often also if I invite him to my squad he cannot join, while if he invites me I can join him, but still no comms.
This is really annoying now and my friend isn't even playing this build because of the issue. I'm using a modern router and if comms is okay in other PS3 games I don't see why the connection should be an issue. |

I have done a lot of research on this topic, tried many different solutions, and had zero luck. I have pretty much written this off as some sort of bug. If you do find an answer please post it, i am all ears. Thanks |

Thanks for the reply - I wasn't sure how prevalent this issue was. I generally avoid team chat at present (randoms) although I don't think I'm alone there, so I'm not sure if this is just a squad issue or across the board, but it does seem like a bug. Infuriating when we were playing mute for the entire last build, then the new build gives us comms and then a few days later it goes again. Comms are going to be vital for this game so buggy chat better go away.
If I see anything I'll post it here. The only thing I've seen elsewhere was someone mentioning unplugging a PSeye being helpful and someone else a router reset, but neither of those seem likely. |

maybe you guys can help me with my issue. I can't seem to get voice comms working at all. I've ensured that voice is enabled, I've hit the PTT, but no one can here me and I can't hear anyone else either. brand new, specificaly for PS3 ear mic. not sure what to do. |

I'm not sure how much use I can be since I can't get mine working either, but I'll give you a few tips...
First check it works on the PS3. You can do this by going to the XMB System>Accessory>Audio settings from where you can hear/see your voice working via the mic.
If this works then there's nothing wrong with your headset/mic.
In Dust open the comms bar with Select. From here you can select several channels. The one with the green light is your active one, which can be changed by clicking X on a channel and selecting activate. You can also Mute/unmute from here, so its' worth trying that to make sure. You can also visually see connected mics of other people within the channel with the mic indicator (white) and those who are talking (green).
I'm not sure I can tell you much more than this I'm afraid. From what I've seen the whole squad system is bugged, including comms, so i'm not expecting any change between now and the next build, unless a hotfix appears. /crosses fingers |

I've had this happen to me as well, my team couldn't hear me, I could hear everyone else fine. I however was able to solve mine. What I did was hit mute all, then unmute all, then my team could hear me. Kind of weird solution, yes, but it did fix my glitch. |

I've tried the mute/unmute approach. No dice.
