CCP what the hell where you thinking? The soma has 2 high module slots and 4 low slots. The sica has only 3 high and 2 low slots means the better choice at the moment is to go for the soma. add another high module slot for the sica please otherwise shield beginner tanks die like nothing. |

They belong to different races, having emphasis on different aspects. Look at their shield and armour, and then at what modules go where. |

I can't recall, I have to log into the game to check. But for the moment, shields are FAR better than Armour. It will be addressed soon, possibly in a hotfix. |

I like the default names, Tension. It used to mean, the tension of the drivers buttocks, knowing he'd get blown up soon, just not when :P
Jokes aside. The Caldari vehicles rule for the moment, due to superior speed (they are lighter) and the shield regen being far better- |

They are superior because there's 2-3 builds for a Sica. The Soma has 1. |

yes makes perfect sense thats why i blow up gunnlogis and sica tanks up on day by day with a well fited soma and if a sagaris dares it to pop up i get my madrugar and screw him up aswell. Sure there are some other options for shield tanks but they are worthless when they cant stand a tank vs tank fight. Another thing is armor tank fits are cheaper then shield tank fits. |

I only see one build for either of the two tanks on the market for Militia vehicles. |

Which means the Sica can fit damage mods AND tank all without reducing it's speed.
The Soma meanwhile gets to pick one. |

Shield tanks are far better.
You can throw CPU mods on to increase it, in the low powered slots, and use every high powered slot very efficiently because of it. When using an armor tank, you can't get nearly as much out of it, as you've gotta manage both CPU and PG. While high powered items take low PG, the low powered items take a lot of PG and a fair amount of CPU, meaning you can't use as much in the high powered slots.
You could fit a couple stronger shield extenders on there, and still have leftover room for a DCU and 2 Shield Resistance Amplifiers. While at the same time you'll probably still have a leftover low powered slot to put in an armor repairer, or even RR system for a friendly tank.
I would change from armor to shield if I could, but like hell I'll skill into it, seeing as how using a tank makes you a ****. |

the very good armor plates take by far less CPU then its shield counterparts. The only thing thats better is just the passive shield recharge and thats it. And i now i dont even use armor plates on my surya/madrugar. I just slack on 1 large armor rep, a small armor rep, 3 armor resistance amplifiers and a damage controll unit. Sometimes i put on a mobile CRU aswell but that depends on the weapons that im using. |

@Dark cloud. I was referring to Dewie. I'll happily attack any tank with my Sica though, even if I don't win. Even Tyas Borgs monster. Spend 2 minutes chasing me from 1 side of the map to the other. Fitting has so little to do with Tank vs Tank it's not even worth considering. Unless your just going to drive right up in their face. I run 2*18% mods, rest is militia. Tanks are god mode. Just like last build.
@Dewie Sorry, thought you were. Edit: We should group in game, haven't seen you this build. |

By the way that guy has now a black ops shield tank. Looked like if he was driving faster then a LAV in that thing. |
