Now, let me clarify what I am asking:
When this game gets released, will we be seeing any weapons, armor, etc. that results from crafting? It could be something where a DUST player acquires components from battle loot and then assembles junk into something useful, although I really think it would be cool if an EVE player assembled in their game about 10,000 units of item X, and then put them up on a sort of broker for purchase by DUST players.
Forgive me if this has been discussed before, and sorry if my knowledge of EVE is lacking, never started playing it and I don't have a computer to play on right now. |

All sources points to no atm.
All sources also says that post launch there will be less and less npc and more and more player.
Everything handeled by NPCs will be in player's hands eventually. |

Dust will reflect Eve in many ways in terms of market dynamics.
Example:
Whenever something new comes out, NPC corporations provide a temporary supply of said new commodity which lasts just long enough for industrial tycoons like myself to manufacture and sell more than enough of the same commodity once the temporary NPC supply runs out. Prices will fluctuate without a doubt, but they will settle on a level that is proportionate to the average income of a typical player and how much each player is willing to pay and whether they need it. Basically, the laws of Supply and Demand apply. |

See, this answers the other way what I was talking about: the EVE players fill the market, whereas DUST players purchase from it.
I definitely want to try out EVE online sometime, although the whiny ten-year-old in me wishes it was f2p. |
