I have found that, in the heat of combat, weapon-changing after an empty clip is too slow and cumbersome, pretty much guaranteeing a death if you have no time to reload.
I understand the menu houses a lot of information, thus its navigation was relegated to the Right-stick. It would be nice if there was a dedicated button for quickly switching simply between your primary and secondary weapon- a feature which I think every FPS gamer is accustomed to.
Also, a suggestion: The character movement in Dust is believable and fluid, for the most part, but I still find myself feeling like I'm not really playing my character, rather a camera on a stick. I think adding a little view bobbing for things like running and jumping would make character movement feel more realistic. |

You can cycle the weapons with a tap, but the analog nature of R2 makes it hard to reliably just tap it. |

Lag makes tapping not work a lot of times. |

Yes, I know. I would also prefer it to be on a different button (especially since that would make space on R2 for melee). R3 for crouching and triangle for weapon switching would be best, methinks. And use the left stick to chose, when you hold triangle, since it is kinda hard to use the right stick and triangle simultaneously. |

That is a layout I would feel much more comfortable with. |

Weapon and equipment switching should be separated somehow to prevent accidentally switching to equipment in a heated battle, especially when lag is involved. |
