Hello to you all. I would like to give you a rundown about myself to prove my points however this isn't the place for that. I trust you'll take my word.
Let's Begin.
~During login after selecting your character but before the Controller Guide loading screen in the bottom right corner it displays the "Select - Chat" and "Start - Neocom"
Suggestion: For a smoother interface set a few seconds delay. We're already waiting to get in, a few more seconds at the beginning won't hurt.
~After playing many matches I've noticed the bug/crash that requires the PS3 reboot happens more often when you use the Instant Match Console inside your room. At this moment it is a 10-15 games to 1 reboot for me. I've noticed it happens more frequently when being AFK from the console more than 10 minutes as well.
~In the Character Info screen it displays my K/D Ratio, Total SP, ISK, and the like. However when selecting "Show Info" on other players it simply shows their PS3 Handle.
Suggestion: Attach the player stats to the "Show Info". This will allow players after a match to see if that player was just lucky for having a high kill/ low death match or whether they should be recruited.
~Extend the after match viewing time by at least 10 seconds. For Example: After a match, I really liked this players playing style and wished to play with him again. I selected his name and begun a message. However while completing that message I was forced back to the room in which I no longer had a way to track him. The PS3 "Recently Played With" section is not affected by Dust 514, even if it was the player is going by their character handle and not the PS3 Handle.
Suggestion: Create an in-game recently played with window/screen. In the room would be preferred.
~During character creation, I had an issue when creating the character names. The common selection button in most PS3/360 games is the bottom button A(360) and X(PS3). When reaching the naming phased I believed pressing X was going to select the highlighted box to enter the first name however you have that assigned to the Square button. Even after noticing this, when it came to selecting the last name a gamer's muscle memory will tell them to select the A/X and by then it required complete character deletion and going back through the menus.
Suggestion: Either change the button layout to correspond to the gamer's habits or place in a confirmation dialog box to make sure they agree to what is all seen before continuing.
~In the Skills Selection Screen if you press left or right on the D-pad you can highlight the options "Skills" "Skill Points" "Next Level Cost" "Levels" however there is no way to interact with these to display the list of skills based on their criteria.
Suggestion: Currently I see only the Square button not being used in the Skills menu. Attach it to the highlighted option so when press it will sort all skills by said criteria.
~Unknown flaw/bug or intended, the skills that say Large Turret Operation suggest these skills are required to gain entry into Large Turrets on the map during MCC Flagship Fights. However I have easily been entering them without such training.
Suggestion: Reword the Turret Operation to let the player know exactly what these skills do.
~During the Dropsuit Fitting customization you are given the option to make a dropsuit set to default. I have yet to see where this is used in anything. During combat you are always required to select from the list of available dropsuits.
Suggestion: A spawn button that goes straight to starting the timer instead of pressing Triangle to select from the loadout screen.
~During the Dropsuit/Vehicle Fitting, Selecting an empty slot in which you have no gear to place there will give you the option to go to the Marketplace however it doesn't take you specifically to the section for where that gear is found.
Suggestion: Extend the process to the section in the marketplace where that specific gear is found.
~Since there is no trade function in the game, increase the ratio of finding blueprints to a more manageable number.
Suggestion: The lower the Meta Level it is the easier it is found. Offer a Blueprint Finding Device for AUR.
~The skill Dropsuit Command. Explain in more detail what Signature Profile is.
~When in AfterMatch Screen. Selecting "Add to Watch List" Doesn't actually add them to Watch. When Selecting the Social Menu and choosing All Contacts, they show up. However when selecting "Watch List" specifically they do not. (Watch List Function works in adding through the chat menu.)

Gameplay Issues:
~While Sniping, I noticed players running along jagged edges to keep out of the path of my bullet. However this causes them to often get stuck and their character is bobbing up and down erratically.
Suggestion: My preferred suggestion would be to rework all borders in Unreal Editor however given that all the maps are already made this far. It would take quite some time to tweak every nook and cranny. Still, we have faith in you all to get the job done(Insert Smiley Face)
~While Sniping, when enemy players are hacking Clone Centers and Resupply Units. My bullets to not hit. This is due to the Devices invisible hitboxes being larger than the device itself. In other words if I were to be on top of it, I'd could stand on an edge and be in the air.
Suggestion: Tweak the Generic Structure's Meshes so they don't interfere with the match.
~When other team players attempt to TK, they cannot. However upon being hit by the bullet it disorients the screen in such a way to make in very hard to run away from said player. This disorientation will easily get that player killed due to being unable to see around.
Suggestion: Remove the effect from the game.<.< Not quite sure why it's even in there.

This is all I have for now. Will write again when I have more to work with. For now I'd like to hear your thoughts on these.
P.S. When trying to post near the remaining characters limit it states I need to make it shorter while I was still clearly under by 35 characters.
P.S. When trying to post, by the time I finished typing my post(Roughly 1 hour) and selected post, it reset my page to a blank thread as if I was just starting to post. Luckily I've seen this issue on newly formed forums and have gotten used to saving my posts to my clipboard before posting. |

Hrray. a real beta tester. +1 for you on each post.
The Issue for sniping really needs to be addressed. It's dificult to cover objectives when a structures shield encompases them.
PS3 lockup definately needs to be addressed before release.
I'd like to see more info when selecting a person on the list as well.
The button lineup for character creation is very wonkey and should be switched. X to select the name input, start to accept the character.
Trading and reselling will be fixed at some point. |
