Be nice to have drones in DUST 514 like we do in EVE. In Battlefield Bad Company 2 they had a UAV that could be used remotely on a computer system. So its that same concept... be a great thing to have. Thanks. |

This would be the perfect answer to Tanks, provide they could work outside of line of sight. I am thinking quad bike size drones that buzy around peppering the tanks... Tank unable to shoot them but foot men would be able to take them on |

Drones have been described as being a PvE survival component. Maybe that's what the drones for the next build relate to? Drone facilities that spawn drones and your team has to clear them out?
Honestly, if it's some kind of AI controlled bot thing for in regular PvP gameplay, I'll be disappointed. I don't like the idea of using AI controlled things to fight for you. |

Those are rogue drones, which are an AI "race". It said nothing about "rogue drones".
So I'm guessing these will be normal drones. I have no problem with having drones help with fighting or defense or whatever. Turret installations already work automatically if no one is controlling them. |

Eve test server item database has a deployable Drone Installation, which I imagine will be coming in the next update to Dust. I wonder how it will work though, there are a lot of possibilities when it comes to player controlled drones. Need more info!  |

For anyone that hasn't read Templar One, there's a fairly lengthy escape sequence where they're relying on a quadruped drone for fire support. I think its likely we'll be seeing many types of support drone come launch, be that RR or combat drones, ECM drones, or what have you. |

how about some battle maps which have rogue drone infestations, so you need to fight other players AND AI drones that want to kill anyone from either side.
I'd think a 3 way battle would be pretty fun [ya ya i know, halo does this]
also might be interesting if to accomplish some objective, the dust soldiers from each side have to TEAM UP for a period of time to kill off all the AI drones first because they are too powerful or blocking the approach to some objective,-- then after that objective is achieved. . . all hell breaks loose between the player soldiers turning on each other lol.
