I have to fit a pistol to make my Knife only fit be vaild.

Why should i have to ruin a fit as amazing as that with the garbage range weapons

If you guys make it so knives are equipped to your secondary weapon slot than, I think, it should be like one of the following:

1. Make it so that you still have a knife or some kind of melee weapon (Such as rifle butt) without having to equip a knife as sidearm, but if you equip a knife it would be stronger then your regular knife (So if the default knife was 50 damage then the equipped knife would be like 100-250 depending on whether its standard, advanced, or prototype)

2. Make it so the knife slot is its own slot (So there would be 3 weapon slots for assault Primary, secondary, and then knife slot)

Disregard this post if you guys aren't doing that. Just heard rumors about it.

I like the idea of possible knife slot, but if it has the damage you're saying then it'd have to replace a weapon your carrying or it'd be stupid not to go around with an extra knife.

Number 2, definitely. If necessary, implement that you can perform butt-strikes with your weapon for a lower-damage close-range fallback. Any way you slice it, though, carrying a knife shouldn't prevent you from carrying a sidearm. It needs it's own slot.

I'm so amazingly apathetic about knives. It's weird they get all this attention. How many kills have people even gotten with knives? How many times have they died trying to get a knife kill? I bet you the balance is in favour of senseless deaths. I am kind of puzzled why they're going through the motions of making knives take up a sidearm slot, considering they'd need to really go out of their way to make knives anything like competitive against pistols.

Personal stats, 1 knife kill. 2-3 deaths by knife (last one I think was a knife but the angle made it hard to be sure).
Times died trying to get to knife, 0.

That being said I wonder about the effort of putting it into a slot as well, seems to me there has to be something more to this otherwise why expend the effort?
