So just seeing if anyone else has these problems. I bounce back and forth between assault and sniper and tired of the sniper not having consistent shooting. I claim to be descent not an overpowering god with it.
First the aiming system for a person running is lead them in order to hit them. But what about distance? does the projectile go in a straight line always or do we have to aim higher at longer distances?
Also second thing if that dot is red that means the person is in range right? I mean the assault rifle does it so that should be the same for the sniper rifle.
So why does it not hit a still person at distance? Any help would be great
Been using the Charge Sniper Rifle lately. |

Moving does indeed apply to your aiming, person running towards ur left, you aim a tiny bit ,ore to the left. as far i know, distance doesn't matter |

Seeing as there is no manual to this game, and there is no real tutorial, and it feels like once you start a new character all they do is say "you buy stuff from here, you fit suits here, ect, ect, now learn how to play your ******* self".
How does one play sniper? I can't seem to focus when looking through the scope, so I'm pretty much 'accurately blind firing' when playing playing sniper. Is this how you are meant to play, and you're suppose to skill them up to actually hit something while being sniper or what?
God damnit it, I hope they add a virtual range to tutorial in, otherwise they are only going to get the serious gaming audience, and he casuals with steer clear of it. |

The only leading you need to do is lag leading - once hit detection is fixed you probably won't even have to do that. The bullet hits instantly without any drop.
The dot isn't as accurate as your rifle. It will show as red when very close but will still end up as a miss - shift your aim slightly in the right direction and you should get a hit. You may also be running into the problem where the hitbox of certain buildings is being hit(like objectives or supply depots). |

No i can do leading just fine.
Its when someone is at a distance and sitting still is the problem I'm having on sniping that it just not hitting the person at all even with the red dot |

I have been a sniper lately. The trick is crouching to minimize the reticule movement when using the scope. Also, get up to a higher place so you can just pick people off. |

Crouching and waiting a moment for the scope to settle. I think low stamina makes it take longer, though I may just be looking for excuses. A few of you here have picked me off before I could take the shot.. |
