The mercenary business just got a lot more competitive. This Wednesday 5 Sep, we fired off beta invites to the majority of players who volunteered to test out DUST 514. Not only that, but all weekend pass holders have been upgraded to full-time access!
Get deployed!
As corporate warfare rages across New Eden, rival companies form uneasy alliances to counter their enemies. Mercs who pick the winning side can strike it rich.
Take a contract to fight for your corp at set times on Friday 7 Sep through Sunday 9 Sep. All players on the winning alliance in each region will earn 1,000,000 ISK and 1,000,000 SP.
Four star-spanning empires struggle to divide colonized space. Joining the Amarr and Caldari in battle are the righteous Gallente and rebellious Minmatar.
Will you fight for galactic freedom or reclaim the glories of your past?
As of Sunday 18 Aug, the DUST 514 beta is online seven days a week, 23 hours of the day! Find out more.
Play DUST 514 all day, every day (except for the 11:00-11:30 GMT daily maintenance window.)
This is why you see more people.
When the first weekend event came out there were 200,000 players on.
What happen to them ?

Actually that does not infact include EVE sisi players, during a significant period of time we only had dust514 players (this was during the server migration and troubles that evolved as consequence) there were also 3000 players still online while EVE sisi players could not even log in.
http://eve-offline.net/?server=singularity This page also shows a consistent trend much much higher then your norm for sisi anyhow so if you take the norm maybe double it you probably get how many people are playing EVE compared to dust.
so yeah Funless, I"M HAVING FUN COUNTERING YOUR ARGUMENT. I'm done >.> |

Consistent players online of 2500 or more during a closed beta is pretty damn good. After all, a lot of people try betas fro a day or two, then go back to other games until final release arrives. |

It's nice to see the growth in the Merc population.
The other DUST graph I like to follow is:
http://www.google.ca/trends/?q=Dust+514&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0
The trends lag by a couple of days, so if there's a big announcement you have to wait a few days to see it reflected in the trend. |
