There's still no official announcement about the PS4 and it's all just rumours. It's definitely not coming out next year, it's already September and even if it was being released for Christmas 2013 then we should already be starting to get the early part of the hype machine. So 2014 is the earliest the PS4 could reasonably come out, though Sony did say that they were planning on a 10 year life cycle and the PS3 was only released 2006. |

The life cycle doesn't have to end once the next console is released. Just look at the PS2. |

It probably wouldn't be too hard to port to PS4. It's a free to play game that's going to keep getting updated, so they don't need to make a DUST 514 2, they just need to port it over.
EVE has already gotten a new graphics engine and completely redone art assets, so they could do the same for DUST. The PS4 version could have better graphics but still work the same way and be compatible. |

If ccp keeps this game alive like planned it still be around till ps5 or ps6 as for the ps4 well sony is still working with the ps3 console and probally will to technology outdates it by a good margin |

Well, with as good as CCP is at keeping EVE alive and strong. I could see this lasting just as long as EVE will last. the one thing that CCP does the best is actually listening to the players. Hell, they even have a player elected Board of Players that go to the CCP headquarters and give them our ideas and thoughts about the game. So trust me when i say this. If CCP gets some good ideas and we keep them well informed about what we want and what we think is best for the game to grow and stay strong. They will do it, well, within reason ofcourse. Just be patient and let CCP do what they do best and all will go fairly smoothly. |
