^Sorry about the title. Do forgive.
Okay, well. I am new to FPS and new to online gaming when organized. And honestly, the whole concept of Dust 514 is new to the world. I just want to get this straight:
These alliances/corps, how do they work? For example, i sign up for a corp and then what?
I would become part of more or less a coalition of soldiers, who receive orders and do what? How do we get orders? How do we organize? How do all the pieces fit together into a fighting unit? What determines what battles we fight? Can we be part of more than one group? How does it connect to EVE?

As of this moment, i've been running around a battlefield spraying bullets. And i never see people work together, which seems to be the key to this game, at least to me. And whenever i do see team squads, i am usually wiped out by them in a matter of picoseconds.
I love the idea, i just have no idea how this can be implemented. That's part of why i checked out this game. I love the concept, and want to see the execution. And i would like to understand the execution also! |

As of right now, official corporations are not implemented yet. Eventually player made corporation will recruit and such. There are currently clans that are recruiting however. |

Long term plan: Corps will be fighting over districts on a planet. When a corp controls most/all of the planet, the corp will get some kind of bonus in that system. What exactly that is has not been identified afaik. Could be less taxes, better sov upgrades, etc. None of that functionality is in the game yet, in EVE nor DUST. |

Ok, so by everyone fighting for a certain corp, we can help them rise to power.
But when we sign up for one, for example for SBC or whatever, how do we know when they plan a battle? How do we all get in the same fight? |

Actually aren't all the Corp battles happening 8 EST today, then 8:30 and 9?
You go to Battle Finder at those times and enter the Corp battle, the you'll only see the matches for the Corp you're in, which is Crux Special Tasks Group (although just for tonight you can join either the US or EU Corp matches). You'll be fighting against a Caldari corp because of some backstory thingy about Caldari vs Gallente enmity. It's a bit hard to get into one, actually, since spaces usually fill up fast, but just be on the Battle Finder on those times exactly and you should get in at least once. |

We still don't know exactly how player or NPC corps will arrange matches. However it will be done, it's not in any game menu or anything yet. |

Wait, I think I was wrong, it's 4, 4:30, then 5 for the Corp matches, all EDT (forgot we're still in Daylight Savings time). So first one will be in an hour. |

Thanks for the tips. And also, how do you know when the battles are? Is there a website or something that lists them? |
