With the current damage at 600, the reduced damage radius is not enough when it's used at close range. Though there are only a few people taking advantage of the explosion by impact, eventually many players may begin using this grenade variant in a abusive manner to get instant kills or cripple heavy dropsuits. I suggest decreasing the damage to 250-300 as this grenade can quickly be thrown at anyone with little chance of avoiding death. |

explosion on impact?
So they nerf my RE but put grenades, (merc packs) Fused and this Cavity varient that do exactly what people cried about RE's?
hurting heavies is a good use for these grenades but it instant kills most suits.

I would like to say a couple things. The damage is in line with other less advanced grenades (considering its lvl3). Remember you have to skill up to level 3 to have Thukkers plus you need AUR to buy them. More importantly they cost 90 CPU which is a tremendus amount. Having such a high CPU greatly limits there usefulness in dropsuits. So unless a merc is in a proto suit they will have to make a decision on having a good grenade vs having a good weapon. I believe its drawbacks even out the positives.
Plus you can always hold (cook) a regular grenade a second or two then throw it for the same effect, plus it will not need to skilled to level 3 plus it will be around 30 cpu istead of 90 cpu. Plus it has reduced damage radius. Plus it not militia.
So in closing dont touch the grenades they are balanced and working fine. |

Yeah right get logi type 1 suit. 3 sets of nano hives and spam those pesky things and you have again the remote explosive problem. Run out of nano hives? Run for a supply depot and reload the same dropsuit with another set of 3 nano hives. And there you go again. In my opinion there should also be variations of those for ISK. |

I'm trying to understand this. Are you suggesting using a logi suit and spamming nades as your main weapon? Cause that would be moronic TBQH. |

Seriously, having a grenade that explodes on impact is still abit abusive in my opinion. It promotes the idea of just charging into a mob of enemy and throwing an instant explosion.
Frankly, I do not like the cavity grenade, and even though I can equip them myself. I'd very much like to see it removed from the overall game. |

Have you ever player a shooter before? Hold/cook the grenade and it is the same thing without the huge CPU cost and RL money spend on the item. Regular grenade plus cooking = cavity grenade use your brain. |

Yes, but having holding and cocking a grenade before throwing is entirely different from just tossing something that instantly explodes. Play CoD, and see a guy run up, throw C4 and instantly detonate it, anyone would be "What the Hell man" The idea of an instant explosion doesn't allow the victim any response time.
However, by keeping it the hold, ****, throw method, it includes an element of risk to the user, unlike a cavity grenade just lets the user to throw it without any care in the world. |

The simple fix for this is make NO grenades that explode on impact one shot anything. 2 hits quickly sure, but 1 is a bad idea and no fun to fight against or with, unless your a talentless sap.
Half damage sure, but contact grenades one shotting is a very bad and cheap idea. Just look at the previous swarm launchers or RE. There's a reason it's called "Noob tubing". |

I don't feel they need removing, just nerfing to be a 2 shot kill. I could live with that. |
