So i get on tonight and every single corp battle i had was less than 8vs16
Routinly the game launched with less than 4 fighting a no win battle against 16 and prob 4 tanks included, ppl joined realised it was halfway through and then quit again because the battle was pointless
TBH its kinda pointless letting the game launch with les than 4 against 16, it at least needs to wait till the lobby is full for both sides
Only reson i stayed in was to collect some SP and ISK while i drove around in my spawn with a tank
But it at least needs to wait till the lobby is full for both sides or it become a pointless 1 sided battle |

but yeah it should wait untill its a fair fight, every corp battle ive played my corps side is always full up almost as soon as the match is available and yet only ever 1 or a few more on the other team |

for some ODD reason, corp battles didnt' have the wait for 10 vs 10 to start...
wonder why a set up corp battle would start at a set time and not by player count..

It would make sense to wait on paper but in reality people will have to wait over 10-15 minutes just for 10 to show up if they feel it is going to be a losing battle, seeing how my team ended up having to wait iver 5 minutes in the ship while only 1 person was on the other team and they ended up leaving after it started regardless |

yep, Zumari Force Projection was heavily out numbered nearly every single time. The first battle we had was roughly 4 on 4 and we won. The rest were usually 2 vs. 16. I just stayed in spawn and collected a little ISK. Essentially pointless. |

I say if you don't show up on time for your Corp. battle you deserve whatever you face with the number of players you can field.
"Balls, party of two, balls party of two. Oh, there's only the one of you? The other member is running a little late? Please have a seat in the lounge and enjoy a complimentary drink."
Don't show up to fight? Then you lose. |

The problem at the moment is that people don't know when a battle is about to start. If they don't know, they can't show up. Battles that are scheduled for a certain time should be visible in the battle finder so everybody can simply check their watch and show up in time. Even better, send out a notification to all members of the corps involved that are sitting in their merc quarters, informing them that a corp battle is about to start. I'm pretty sure then we wouldn't have those 4 vs 16 matches all the time (provided it's not just because of some bug anyway).

I agree that the current system is opaque and really a pain to figure out. And yes, the system could be bugging out and not letting people that are trying to get into matches get in.
The thing to fix is the entire approach to corp. warfare and faction warfare so it is much clearer. But leave it so that if people no-show the battle just goes on. |

I'm thinking a lot of people have tuned out because of last weekend. If you didn't sit in the lobby and x that match as soon as it appeared you didn't get in. There were quite a few who tried and simply couldn't get in a match. Secondly it's not like it's all over the forum like last weekend. Many may not even know there are corp battles this weekend. I found out cause I just happened to check my e-mail. |

there's no specific reason for that "problem" others than players not being interested; this will still happen 10 years after the release. blame ur corp members; not CCP.
Also, there's always 2 corp battles at once... the EU server corp battle test, and the US corp battle test.
if you have toruble having to find a full team an dur on the US server; then wait for the EU server, and vise versa. |

There aren't supposed to be 2 corp battles at once. The US battles are starting at the wrong time. |

I tried last weekend and again yesterday as well as today and nothing. This is getting to be a major pain. Maybe they should post something in the forums so people know when to be on and where to look for the corp battles. Just sayin. |

Corp battles are not SUPPOSED to be balanced. Sometimes the fight is an unfair number but that's how its supposed to be.
That's part of the charm of new eden...... fair fights, unfair fights, trust, betrayal etc.
Get used to it bro, unbalanced fights are here to stay  .............I love it!

I tried to find a single Corp battle to enter last night during the 3 time slots for US and found nothing.
No listings for any battle in the battlefinder.
Anybody know what happened?
It's a shame because I was so stoked to paricipate.
It certainly seemed like no one cared this time around.
Oh well, at least I had beer, and that came through for me just fine ;-)) |

For US players. Battles will most likely start at 4PM EST. Check battle finder at that time. |

And to CCP, you might want to fire the person in charge of your email correspondence,as the emails that I have always received are usually full of inaccuracies, including the latest announcing this 2nd weekend corp battle competition.
Well, maybe don't fire them, just give them a good old-fashioned flogging. |

What's needed is for the intercom in stations to be switched on ... You've all heard the voice in the War Barge saying a new contract is available. That should mean there is a contract battle ready to be joined, we just need that to be piped through to the station environment so any players not currently in a battle have the chance to join up.
I can imagine this being the case in a future build. |
