2) equip it with weapons and upgrades
3) call in the dropship while in battle

Start by going to the marketplace. Look through all the militia gear.
It will take a little reading. But you can get your first dripship in militia vehicles.
When you want to upgrade, go to the market, see what you want to get as far as modules, look at the requirements, then train skills accordingly. You train skills by investing skill points in skills you have learned.
To learn a new skill, click R2 and buy skill books with ISK. Use the skill book to start, then keep investing SP in that skill to get better results.

You need to find the vehicle and vehicle modules you want in the marketplace, and take a look at their prerequisites. These are the skills you will need to level up to in order to use said vehicle. Once you've leveled the appropriate skills you purchase the stuff, create the vehicle fitting, and call it down in game. |

Maybe I just did something wrong, but when I purchased a militia vehicle it didn't act as other Militia gear does. ie: when I died, it was gone. Are militia vehicles not the same as all the rest of militia gear? |

The only militia vehicle that is still BPO is the one LAV...all other are gone when destroyed. |

The only 'free' vehicle is the baloch LAV you start with. Once you spawn a vehicle, you will need to repurchase it. Luckily though, if you are just using militia vehicles, you should be able to pay off for it in a single match. |
