Instant battle is freezing on the collecting players screen, not the whole screen and graphics. It just stops collecting people for a long, long infinite seeming amount of time. Sometimes it doesn't even show the players joining even when it does load up. So I back out and try again and then everything is disabled except for the select button features and I'm standing in the merc quarters unable to move my guy. |

I have been having this same issue. About 50% of the time backing out will allow me to try again. The rest of the time it locks up. I did notice that instant battle seems to work better if I enter from the menu tree, and am standing no where near the instant battle console in the quarters. Even then, it locks up fairly often.

The exact same here, though I haven't had it freeze through menu, just the terminal. |

I've had an opposite problem, every time i tried to Instant Battle through the menu it would more than often lock up, and the console seemed to be much more reliable |
