So a few months ago, beginging of summer i was entered into a weekend beta test, the last day, my last match I bought a Sub machine gun as a last Horah! Well i died and when i went to go use that gun again i thought it was just a glitch in the system that I couldn't find the load out nor the gun.
Being back on today i still can't find the gun... what gives?
Other then that, the speed speed sure has changed, before there was a major lag when going through menus while in your... officer quarters? but that's been improved as far as i can see. just about to go into battle. |

There's a ICD something 9 submachine gun, and it's only available to Merc Pack, I think. There's also a salvage item, and it's not available to the market. |

If that gun was other than militia version, then every thime than you die you lose that dropsuit and all items equipped to it. It's just how DUST/EVE works. All except militia ones are BPCs (Blue print copies), meaning everytime you lose one you haveto buy another one.
edit: there are some exceptions to this, some are thise items that came with Merc pack
And to add there is a thread that CCP is going to make all militia items BPC eccept the Starter fits, now in my opinion this is good since DUST will going to have dynamic player driven economy where players can buy and sell items to each other.

1) As previously mentioned, currently you have infinite starter gear (militia suits and fittings). If you skill up and buy better gear, that better gear lasts only as long as you survive. For example: I buy the next tier Assault Dropsuit past Militia grade, I buy and install a nice Submachine Gun (SMG) and a Charge Sniper Rifle plus whatever ever non-militia support modules. I have only bought 1 copy of each. I start a game and if I die while wearing this unique fit, I have just lost that suit and fitting. In the Fitting/Dropsuit Fitting screen you have an option to Restock fittings. You should keep a stock of whatever favorite fittings you have. I typically carry 10 of each of my custom builds ...just cuz I'm paranoid ;) It seems a harsh death penalty, but this is EVE. Well, Dust, within EVE. Too, there's enough money (Isk) in game to support the addictions and it does help put somewhat of a limit to those annoying situations in other games where the guy you just kill ALWAYS comes right back full-on as if you never killed him 5x already. Carrying around temp gear, I will always consider my strategy and odds rather than blindly running into any fight. Well, probably not, but at least that option exists ;)
2) When devs move test servers they wipe and reset everyone back to start. IF you had skills or gear months ago, there may have been up to two wipes since. Purchased Merc Pack items should reset too, so if you had already spent the 4,000 AUR, you would get it back on wipe from my understanding. I do not have the Merc Pack.
All the best.
