I bought a new optical mouse it's the Logitech M100 10 dollars (Walmart)
I was playing the other day and i noticed something I'm not sure what to call it, The best we i can say it is, I'll be aiming then boom, lag spike or something and my aim is all the way across the screen I have to keep readjusting a lot to keep my aim on target. Is this b.c of my mouse?.. Should i get a laser mouse? or is it something to do with Dust right now (early-Sept/2012)
I'm usually pretty good at aiming but when something spikes and causes the game to interrupt my killing . . i dunno, I kinda hope i can play with THIS mouse.
for those who have switched to a laser mouse, have you seen any improvements in any areas, accuracy, smoothness, no spiking?
Thanks.
*** Any replies or info about the spikes / aiming jumps / aim lag with optical mice would be good. |

I have a very cheap mouse (optical, two buttons and a wheel, no real brand, wired). works just fine. Just not very often when I change a stance using ctrl on my keyboard I get grpahics lag, like catching on the objects, need to cycle stance to get it right.
No spikes in precission.
The only time and it was not with PS3 I have seen spikes is when I had a dust (hair) on the chip, or the surface the mouse was rolling on was not suitable (glass, transparent plastic, fluffy things).
Sorry couldnt be more helpful, try different mouse I suppose to rule out dust, different mousepad to rule out that too. |

Optical mice, especially cheap ones like to have paterned mousepads, if your pad is matt black or similar they can struggle to pick up movement and you get a weird lag sensation as the mouse isnt sure its moving or not. |

Thank you for your replies. : ) ( Criest Pyrkin & Vitriol18 )
The mouse pad I'm using has a picture on it, it's not plain black.
The lense/light is clean.
If things don't improve as far as mouse aiming spikes, I may get a laser mouse. : \
